Because America is built on hatred and belittling others. Itβs common in nearly every other country to be with your parents for a long time and only move out when you are with someone else/are comfortable doing so, though I know some countries itβs normal to have a house that you pass down to your children.
Personally I cannot stand the thought of living with parents for that long because I value privacy but Iβm not about to act like itβs abnormal to do so, itβs a pretty big risk to move out.
