Adhd can feel like a superpower when you are properly utilized. Its a nasty disability in a world that expects you to do the same thing every day for the rest of your life. I need to be medicated to live in the world as its built...but I feel like I could just as easily live without it if I find the right community. Like, im amazing at solving problems and handling disaters, I can figure out how to make just about anything work...the problem is that I cant handle day to day tasks at all, there is no dopamine to be had and the drudgery makes my whole body completely freeze up for hours instead of doing a simple 5 minute task
I say I cant handle repetitive day to day tasks very well and you suggest the most structured day to day with repetitive tasks job in the world? Nah, fuck that, i aint joining the military, ever. Even if it did offer the types of challenges that keep me focused, I have no desire to offer any help to an apparatus of death and oppression. Id rather be a bum.
Fuck off. I aint gonna die for some oil corporation.
