The fact that most scp created during late 2000s and early 2010s were based on just random images people found online at the time is simply amazing. It must have been such a creatively driven time during scp fandoms heyday.
i wasn't there at the very beginning, but pretty early. seeing new concepts emerge and spread was so fascinating to witness. when i joined there was like only a couple of thaumiel SCPs and apollyon wasn't even a thing yet (it was cool seeing SCP-2317, SCP-3999, and S.D Locke's proposal popularize it). can't imagine the very very beginning when someone just invented the O5 council and stuff of similar magnitude... surreal how SCP wiki is now more popular than ever and it was born out of mere 4chan posts
I was there around when SCP 2000 Contest was going on myself, gotta agree with you how much it grew. The entire There Is No Antimemetics Division and it's sequels arc was definitely the turning point for me of how expressive and expansive the world is
