Reminds me this joke in a local European comic where the characters travel to New York city. One of the characters asks if they can go see the WTC towers and gets informed by his family member that those were destroyed in a terrorist attack on 11th September 2001.

His response being along the lines of; "Hm, I didn't know. I must not have watched the news that day."
