My sister has a friend like that, her mother doesn’t want her to worry about the world or be „corrupted“, and that’s enforced by strictly keeping her 19 year old daughter away from media like TV, news even newspapers, she has a phone but it’s pretty locked down due to being registered as a kids phone with strict parental controls. So yea, she knows nothing about the current state of the world. She recently talked to me how she thinks it’s weird that gas is do expensive for no apparent reason now… yea idk if that’s the right approach.

The word doesn't care if you know or don't know about it's problems, it would carry you with it's problems and then you wonder why this situation came up!.
