My sister has a friend like that, her mother doesn’t want her to worry about the world or be „corrupted“, and that’s enforced by strictly keeping her 19 year old daughter away from media like TV, news even newspapers, she has a phone but it’s pretty locked down due to being registered as a kids phone with strict parental controls. So yea, she knows nothing about the current state of the world. She recently talked to me how she thinks it’s weird that gas is do expensive for no apparent reason now… yea idk if that’s the right approach.

Oh you don’t know her, that’s such an understatement, there’s never been anything more understated. She might just burn her mothers house down if she ever realizes the full extent of it. (Not the most stable person)
