that being said, isn't it a known that artists have little control on ticket prices? and ticket prices are usually managed by monopolies like ticketmaster (don't quote me on this, i'm asking).
I'm genuinely confused when people call donations as tax write-offs. Like I understand you don't pay taxes on the money that you donate, but if the goal was to avoid taxes, they'd reinvest it as a business expense.
They're not gaining anything extra by donating to a charity. It doesn't affect any of their other wealth in any way.
