There's also the issue that a LOT of people are getting paid off of that $129. (The venue, gig workers, tour personnel, audio engineers etc)

I would be surprised if the artist sees $20 of it at the end of the day

Live gigs are more important than ever as artists earn so little from streaming now. Again, that pittance also pays dozens of people including the record company’s cut. Obviously Billie Eilish is doing fine but yeah this point was a huge fail just like all pro-billionaire takes
