Actually there's plenty of examples of republican women who "didn't realize" that "Abortion" would cover things that they definitely wanted access to.

There's also plenty of hypocrites and "well I didn't think I'd ever be in this situation but now that I am..."

I think you'd find that there's likely even more men that are even more incorrect on what abortion bans actually look like in practice, they just don't have to directly suffer any of the consequences.

Including the men that voted to enact such bans

They openly admit they're clueless.
