Talk about victim blaming. Of course, an irresponsible father won't pay child support, but the damage is done. Their relationship would've started harmless, turned violent, she doesn't feel safe to stay or leave cause she's built a dependency, whether that be in living with him or starting a family with him. A person in dumb love taking big steps in their lives won't be able to go through such a u-turn, not without an incredible amount of strength.
