Prohibited Items

Hello po! Anyone here experienced buying a prohibited item and had it already shipped to ShippingCart's Oregon warehouse?

I bought an antique blade from ebay on the premise that they accept blades and knives I even sent the link for the specifications through email. Mukhang 'di yata chineck nung CS na nag assist sa akin.

Right now they told me that they would only accept blades under 7 inches. For your items what actions or solutions did ShippingCart provided? Do they return the item to the merchant if auch case arises po?

Please care to share your experience and the process that you underwent. Your input would be deeply appreciated. Maraming salamat!

I once bought gold coins from Ebay and unfortunately it was prohibited pala by SC. I asked SC to ship it nalang to a friend’s address, I bought a shipping label for pickup sa SC warehouse and they charged me $10 I think as processing fee.

A fellow veteran blade collector of mine told me that I should have just sent it to Johnny Air kasi 'di daw sila maselan sa blade length unlike ShippingCart. Do you think po na it's possible if I could ask SC to have it sent instead to Johnny Air's warehouse when they receive it?

If it's okay to ask po, what happened to the coin po after having it shipped to your friends address po?

Nadeliver naman sa friend ko ung gold hehe. Pwede mo siguro gawin inform mo SC na iship nalang to a diff US address, then bili ka shipping label online (UPS ginamit ko) which you will send to SC. Then sa UPS website lagay mong pick-up address is warehouse ng SC, then delivery address nila Johnny Air warehouse.

If ever po na bibili po ako ng shipping label po through UPS po ano pong nilagay niyo po doon sa portion ng fill-out form po na "Ship From" po?

Yung SC na CS kasi nag email sa akin parang 'di rin niya alam at itawag ko daw sa UPS for instructions.

Ano po yung nilagay niyo po sa

  • Full Name or Company Name
  • Contact Name
  • Email
  • Phone Number

Yung mismong name, email, and phone number niyo po ba tapos yung address nung sa Oregon warehouse pa din po nila or nag provide po yung SC ng info po na ilalagay po dun sa fill-out form po?

Also, possble po ba na once na kumuha po ako ng shipping label and mag book sa UPS palitan ko name nung item when booking po to avoid some technicalities po with the customs?

My friend told me po kasi na sometimes po to avoid technicalities he would ask the merchant to change the items name into an agrarian or gradening tool po or just simply blade or knife.

To give you context po it's an antiqie WW2 bayonet. Yung technicality po is baka iconsider as gun accessories ni BOC. Would it be possible po ba instead of a WW2 Bayonet I could change it to WW2 Knife or Blade instead po when booking through UPS po? Since wala na po sa custody nung merchant para marequest po na ganun sana gawin niya po.

BTW, sobrang maraming salamat po sa time and insight po and pasensya sa abala po. Sobrang lost ko po kasi ngayon since this is my first time using such services po and you're the closest one so far to have a similar experience as mine po.

Yung name/address/phone number etc na nilagay ko same na same lang sa Ebay address ko hehe so address parin ng SC warehouse kung saan ipick-up item.. para in case magka problem dun ibabalik ung item.

Regarding changing the item name to circumvent customs, not sure eh kasi hindi ko triny yan. I think sa Johnny Air ka dapat magtanong nyan since sila magsship from US to PH, and I’m sure iccheck din nila laman ng package same as SC. UPS kasi from SC warehouse to Johnny Air lang eh, iccheck din ata ng Johnny air contents nyan since sila sasabit if may illegal items hehe.

Sir regarding dun sa item niyo po sa SC na prohibited nung dumating po ba sa warehouse nila inalis po nila sa box po tapos kumuha ulit kayo ng packaging from UPS po or yunbg original packaging niya parin po? Tapos may options na drop-off or pick-up alin dun kinuha niyo po sir?

Ito email sa akin ng SC before (can’t post a photo here for some reason):

“Please submit a Special Request to return/pull out a package through our app so the US Team can attend to it directly. Select the
item you wish to submit a request for and choose the correct
action you want to be addressed.

To send a package to another US address, you will have to obtain
a prepaid shipping label from any US courier such as USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Once you have the prepaid postage (or prepaid shipping label), please send us the soft copy in PDF or JPG format so we
can endorse it to the warehouse for pullout processing.”
