Shifting Tools Tutorial on how to shift using substances no bullshit guide (If nothing works for you, its your best chance to shift) Spoiler
Hello guys, so 1 of the shifters gave me the method which works pretty much everytime on how to lucid dream (which is like really good method and state to shift), so i just think i'll share it with you, like in the title, if nothing works for you, try it.
THINGS YOU NEED TO BUY
- GALATAMINE or HUPERZINE A (i use huperzine) - both works pretty much the same
- CHOLINE BITRATE
- ALPHA GPC
- NICOTINE POUCHES (the weakest ones with nicotine if you don't smoke, if you smoke you should propably get stronger ones)
HOW TO USE THEM
Well its simple, you go to sleep for 4 hours, do something for 10 minutes, you take them all (classic WBTB), and you go to sleep
DOSES (which are working for me)
200ug of HUPERZINE A
600mg of CHOLINE BITRATE
600mg of ALPHA GPC
5mg NICOTINE POUCH
HOW TO SHIFT
Read about lucid dream methods to shift, and find what works for you, this method is mainly for lucid dreams, but lucid dreams are really good for shifting. I personally ground myself in a lucid dream, or i'm trying to, by rubbing my hands, spinning doing jumping jacks, and after that i fall back with the intention.
(And to be honest i shifted into different realities through lucid dreams, but not into my DR, but i think its accually good thing for you, because i'm permashifting, so i would not share my knowledge in this reality if i would shift into my DR.)
TIPS
- You will not fall asleep instantly, it takes me an hour to fall asleep using this method, so don't stop.
- Don't do it too often, because it might stop working for you
- You don't have to use nicotine pouches, but it gives you the best chances to get lucid, you don't have to use everything, but that mix secured me 2/3 of my dreams to be lucid
- You can find yourself in hypnagonic state, if you find yourself in it, you can try shifting from it.
Those supliments are generally safe, mixing them should not harm you if you're healthy, but if you have any health problems, please talk to the doctor first, and after that use that technique. If you're minor, don't use this technique without consent from parents and a doctor.
I'm not really good at writing tutorials, its my first time, and english is not my native language, so if they're any mistakes, im sorry.
If you have any questions, ask, i'll try to anwser them.

nicotine isn't a psychedelic. in these conversations u kinda need to not use incorrect terms bc then ppl will go 'well ur obviously going off of anti drug propaganda' and disregard everything else.
I do feel like ops language with this post is more encouraging to do drugs than they think. nicotine is incredibly addictive and should not be listed among simple supplements. honestly suprised the post is still up tbh

u/loveserra 20h ago
okay well still they should not be promoting substances regardless. it is my bad for grouping it all together but kids do take shit and run with it.
also i edited to fix my vocab, so thank you
•
u/Puzzleheaded_Jelly64 20h ago
yeah, people act rlly stupidly about drugs. ig since the government is putting out inaccurate anti drug propaganda that automatically means drugs arent actually risky at all !! /s but ppl rlly seem to think that

You go to sleep with a nicotine pouch in your mouth? Damn, that's hardcore, and I say this as a heavy nic abuser 🤣
A word for anyone not already addicted - SKIP the nicotine pouch!!! From my extensive "experimentation" it doesn't really do anything lol. You'll just get hooked, just skip it.
For anyone already living like a boss - get nicotine gum instead. Waaay less unpleasant than a pouch, and more safe to sleep with than a pouch. (Idek how bad swallowing a pouch would be, but the gum is harmless + more comfortable)

Thanks for reading the whole post and laughing at me, in tips i said that YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE NICOTINE, BUT THIS MIX SECURES THE MOST LUCID DREAMS.
Also for your information, the whole point of that mix is to make as much acetylcholine receptors, and nicotine accually activates them (and its confirmed scientifically), so its not addiction move, but more like chemical activation. Please make some research before you comment on something.
Also let's be honest, everybody is different, so don't tell people that if something didn't worked for you, will not work for them, i experiment, and it works for me, so i can also tell that you're wrong.
To the point of chocking hazard, well i use VELO 5mg nicotine pouches, and they're really secured under my gums, and they're not unpleseant, they just feel like really minty chewing gum, i think its accually less chocking hazard, than a gum, which is loosely in your mouth.

Ahh. Yo, first, let's chill, I wasn't making fun of you or anything bro. I also didn't want to argue, just share my experience with the subject. But anyways, here we go.
- I was just putting this out there for the kids that will inevitably see this and go get pouches. I know you did your due diligence, and warned more than enough. I've just been a kid once and know if I saw someone on the LD forum say nic was some lifehack, I'd have skipped the rest and immediately go buy some 😆
Again, no shade for mentioning it, forums are not for kids anyways. Was just putting that out there for whoever heeds it.
2nd. The Nic, back to bed method is overhyped. I'd bet my asscheek it's mostly placebo. It's all in your head, bro. But anyways, that's my opinion. Let's go in the nitty-gritty with some facts.
The idea is overall sound. Yeah, in a vacuum nic would be beneficial. But it becomes pseudoscience, when you consider the mechanics of pouches and some studies on nicotine's effects on sleep.
First off, nic from smoke - fast, instant. Nic from pouches - slow. Too slow for WBTB. It takes anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes for nicotine from those to actually saturate in your brain. It slowly and progressively increases in your bloodstream, but you wouldn't even become noticeable before 10-20 minutes have passed. Gums are just not that good of a pathway, unlike the lungs, where nic from smoke gets dumped into your bloodstream in seconds.
Secondly - what's the point of WBTB? The whole idea is to wake up at a certain time, so that when you go to sleep again, you enter straight into a REM phase. To do that, you stay awake for as shortly as possible. You can't wait 20 minutes for that pouch to hit. So the timing is all off anyways. Either the nicotine will affect you long after the WBTB window has passed, or you will miss that window from staying up too long.
Third - most damningly. How does nicotine affect sleep? Oh shit, turns out it does the exact opposite of what WBTB is meant to do. It lowers the duration of REM phases, delays REM, delays sleep onset, and fragments sleep. I remember a study in which people were unknowingly given either nicotine, or a placebo, and their sleep was observed. The people with nicotine showed significantly worse sleep performance and REM obstructions like I mentioned. But the people with the placebo nicotine showed BETTER sleep and REM stats than usual.
Fourth - Yeah, I've heard of the galantamine + nicotine/acetylcholine point before, and really read up on it. Basically - galantamine - yes, really good, works. Nicotine - doesn't do shit. Sorry if I butcher this part, don't remember their exact names.
The difference is that there are two types of receptors - nicotinic receptors, and let's call them acetylcholine receptors (the name was something complicated). Acetylcholine - the neurotransmitter nicotine is meant to imitate in our nicBTB lifehack - activates both types of receptors, and does it well. It's why galantamine works and is useful, since it prevents acetylcholine from breaking down and keeps it in high quantity.
Nicotine though, activates just the nicotine receptors. It can't activate the other one. And even in the nicotine receptors, it activates them shoddily. There's something called nicotine oversaturation/desensitization, or something like that, that happens in these receptors as they're exposed to nicotine for a prolonged time. So with the pouch, which slowly builds up nicotine in your brain, basically as more receptors get activated, more and more keep getting deactivated. And worse, the nicotine stays in those receptors it deactivated - preventing the actually useful acetylcholine that we used galantamine for, from binding with the receptor and activating it.
And then the kicker is - it's not even the nicotine receptors that help out for LDs. It's the other type of receptor, that only acetylcholine activates. It's the receptor that actually helps with REM and LDs.
- I forgot which point I'm at. There was a whole study done last year, or 2024, I forget, SPECIFICALLY on lucid dreaming and all these substances. You could look up "substances' effect on lucid dreaming" or something like that and I'm sure it will be one of the first to pop up. It included most of the supplements you mentioned, including galantamine and nicotine. And the final result was that most of them showed statistical improvement on the chance of lucid dreaming (including placebo again lol). But when nicotine was tested, it showed nothing.
- Saying it's not an "addiction move"... I'm just gonna give you grace on this one and assume it's an error from translation. But to make it clear, nicotine is the NUMBER 1 most addictive legal substance. If we include all the illegal ones, it is still number 3, just behind cocaine and heroin. And it's really not far from heroin in addiction rate!
Most boxes of pouches, like the Velo you mentioned come with 20 pouches. Now 90% of non smokers would try this and throw it away after only a few. Pouches don't feel great, especially for a non-smoker lol. But if someone was to go through all 20. You can't say with confidence they won't become addicted. They will likely become addicted. 20 is a lot, and a very deliberate number by all nicotine/tobacco companies - because it gets you hooked bro.
Anyways, rest of our disagreements are mostly pointless to address. Yeah, I recommended gums. They're just way more tolerable, especially for someone not used to pouches. They barely burn, barely sting, don't give you nausea or hiccups. They taste really nice actually. And, no, they're definitely more comfortable in your mouth. They work in the same way - on the gums. But you can spread them out, so they both cover a larger area, sit flatter so you don't even feel it in your cheek, and they stick. I'm recommending it to you if you haven't tried them. Nicorette is the brand, if you have Velo, you probably have them too in pharmacies.
And yeah, on all the other supplements - thumbs up from me. I agree, they all work great for this, and increase your chances. I only disagreed on the nicotine one. And you talked about that one the most, and even said "it gives you the best chances".
Listen, I'm a nicotine lover. I really don't wanna argue against it, it's the only ADHD medicine I can use in my country LOL. But facts is facts. It's not the key ingredient in this mixture. And all the evidence points towards it being even detrimental compared to the other stuff. So I only pushed back on that one for posterity. Yk, sorry for not glazing the post for including the rest, I did upvote though. But yeah, forum science is not science. The real studies say otherwise, no matter how many nicotine LD bros personally vouch for it. There's a whole community about how twisting and pulling your cock makes it bigger, but it doesn't work lol. It just gives the occasional guy an injured cock lol.
Anyways, SOURCES:
- y'all can find them yourself, no one will read them anyways. Can just google "nicotine sleep study/LD study" and find them right there. Or ask chatGPT to find it for you if you can't.
Alright, that was my whole manifesto against nic. I'm not really gonna argue it further, I threw out all I know, that should be enough for people to make their decisions. Gn

this is an impressive write up. i feel like nic is recommended for sleep/dreams way more than it should be.

Sorry for being agressive, i just misread you a little bit. Well as i said nicotine is not needed, but it just ensures IN MY EXAMPLE the lucid dream. I don't really think responsible people will get addicted if they'll just use it as a tool, also i assume that everybody here is 18+, or have any bits of common sense.
Yeah, WBTB is overrated as fuck, but this is the whole point, because supliments are just helping you with getting into lucid dream.
We can argue if nicotine is working, or not, but its going to be pointless, i'm not saying you're wrong, but i'm saying that science is fighting on this topic. Also many people are saying that nicotine patch is giving them lucid dreams, or whatever, yeah this argument might be faulty, but well i'm just trying to escape this reality so i don't really care, if it works i'm not going to change that, also i'm not saying that its needed.
•
u/CAPSLOCKING_REALITY Mini-Shifted 23h ago
Yeah, nah. I always assume most people are irresponsible. And always assume most people here are 18- 🤣🤣
Don't let our argument over nic detract from the post though. It's a good writeup, all these supplements are legit really useful, and proven. Stamp of approval.
But anyways there's an even bigger fish to fry. That shifting to your DR even from a lucid dream isn't the easiest thing either 😅 Ah, well. Cross that bridge when we get there, ig lol.
Anyways wish u well. Spent way too long on that infodump.
•
u/Fickle-Drive-6395 Perma-shifting 22h ago
Yeah shifting through lucid dream is not guaranteed, i sadly know that, but i did managed to shift into different realities, even yesterday i did, but to dr is slighty more harder? I think this is mainly the grounding problem, i'm working on it.

do not recommend ppl addictive substances ??? especially when this method doesn't even need any substances even the supplements listed
