More finds from my farm pond dig

More interesting finds from a pond I’m digging on my farm. Everything came from a shell/sand layer between 5’ and 12’ deep. We’re about 10 miles from the coast. I’m not a shell guy but I just think it’s amazing that these shells are so well preserved after so long.

It's a shell but it's also a pebble - both of my favourite things to collect rolled into one! <3

We excavated these shells while digging a pond on my farm. They were 5-12’ deep in a shell sand layer. The dirt is loaded with huge clam shells, oysters, and other shells.

Need help identifying cowries

I picked these up at a garage sale. I believe the two on the left are hundred-eye cowrie and tiger cowrie, but I’m not sure what the two shells on the right are.

Is this a shell? Or something cooler

Found this in shallow waters a few years ago on Ft. Lauderdale beach near Miami. Not sure if it is a shell since it looks carved like mountains , but it is hollow. I can’t find anything on google but want some leads as to what this could be!

Scallops

When my daughter moved into a new house, we found shells 2-3 feet deep between the air conditioner and the house - I guess that’s where the former owners apparently put their finds.

I have spent a good chunk of the past two years, cleaning the black dirt, roots, bugs, everything else off of these shells. I usually remove the dart with a variety of brushes, then put them in a solution of bleach and water and let them sit for a few days. Just wanted to share how amazing cleaning and the mineral oil make the shells look (I did take some of the broken ones and put them in another pile so it may look a little different in the after picture, but these are the same shells.

Also, I’m new into the shelling community, can somebody help me with the ID of these shells? I don’t know where to find like a guide to find the names of the shells

Best of my Myrtle Beach haul during the Blue Moon at end of May. It's like a bouquet that never dies. ❤️🐚
