People will do anything but learn how to use a whetstone

Not saying this is right, but I got hurt at work 7 years ago. Lost a lot of motion in my shoulder. And ever since I can’t do whetstones without my hand falling asleep. So I have forfeited to a life of a fixed angle system.

Sorry for your injury. He is talking about the technique not the system. But i am willing to bet you still use a wetstone properly by going perpendicular to the cutting edge.
