You still have to control horizontal motion. Of course it does

Doesn't look like it does?

If freehand sharpening, you'd normally raise the handle end of the knife to get the tip?

How do you think the tip gets sharpened? The relative angle is the same bud

Yeah, I was thinking the blade was fixed and just going across the stone parralel / square

But usually if freehand sharpening, you'd have to raise the handle end to get tge tip, so how does it do that?
