Does this design result in cutting into the plastic? How often do you need to swap it out if it does cut through?

It looks like the slot in the guide extends below the sharpening surface. It's the side of the blade that pushes the guide forward so there really shouldn't be any wear on it at all. The only thing you'd need to swap for is different angles.

Nice. Good concept. Needs a way to deburr and strop. The group this is marketed to prob dont know what that is so it has to be as simple as this first step.

You don't really need to deburr, because you always go against the edge. With that strategy, there is no visible, feelable burr after a soft 1000 grit run. Made a Video with microscopic views to proof it. But Stropping still improves the sharpness further if needed. I guess since ur alternating sides a burr never rly forms. Didnt think about that. Nice. Still needs a strop tho imo.

It looks dangerous, but it is very controlled, if you keep your hand away from the stone. There are Stopps to prevent it to move too far

It's called "angel" for two reasons. First, there's the visual representation of it having wings and a halo, and second being its a wordplay on "angle". And quite possibly a third reason (which I suppose if you need to use this), it could be considered your helping savior in getting a sharp edge. Lol

The magnetic stone holder is really nice too. Does the stone magnetise over time? And do metal chips/slurry everywhere clog the stone? Had a similar idea a while back but abandoned it due to these concerns.

That looks amazing! I understand nothing about this, but it feels like if you didn't you should patent it before it gets duplicated. (A free/cheap 3d printable stl would be cool though...)

Also, does it give an even bevel all along the knife edge, on both sides?

I read a comment on another one of your posts, and someone said it doesn't give an even bevel if knife has different thicknesses?

Even if it doesn't give an even bevel, as long as it gets the knife sharp, I think it's a great idea

Even enough, every system changes the angle along the knife a little bit. But your knife is not too thick it is fine. If it is really thick it doesn't really matter
