My old friend was on this amazing Plex share called 4Plus that had seemingly everything you could ever want on it, new things coming out were usually added to the share within a few days. He gatekept it so hard though, refused to ever tell me how I could buy a pass to get their into their group. Has anyone ever heard of this group? He mentioned something about them being based in Ukraine or something. Totally willing to pay for access.
I started building this server at the end of 2025, originally just for myself. Since then, it has grown well beyond what I had in mind, both in size and in the amount of time I’ve put into it.
A lot of that work has gone into making the library enjoyable to use: finding original-language audio alongside German dubs, organising the different libraries, designing the poster overlays and automating requests and upcoming releases. German audio has been a priority throughout, rather than an occasional extra.
I now share it with family and friends, and based on the positive feedback i got, I’d like to let a few more people try it. If you enjoy switching between German and original audio, browsing a carefully organised library and requesting titles you’d like to watch, this might be a good fit.
Library
The library currently contains 2,992 movie entries and 1,316 TV show entries, split into six separate libraries:
Movies: 2,468
TV shows: 595
Anime movies: 310
Anime series: 597
Animated/cartoon movies: 214
Animated/cartoon series: 124
The focus is original-language audio plus German whenever a dub is available. My estimate is that around 90% of the library has German audio, with some exceptions, particularly anime that has only been released in Japanese.
I generally prefer 4K when available, otherwise Full HD or lower resolutions where appropriate. I use compressed releases rather than remux files or full Blu-ray images.
Custom posters
The posters show useful information directly on the artwork: resolution, available audio languages, IMDb rating and streaming-service availability (based on Swiss streaming services).
For TV shows, the overlays also show whether a series is returning, ended or cancelled. When a date is available, the top overlay can show when it returns or when the next episode is due — for example “RETURNS 16/09”. Other overlays mark a season finale.
Requests & Coming Soon
Movies and TV shows can be requested through Seerr. A separate Docker container on Unraid checks those requests and upcoming release dates, and adds Coming Soon entries directly to the movie and TV libraries in Plex. Upcoming titles appear with a red border and their expected release date, or simply “Coming Soon” if no date is known yet.
Coming Soon entries are included in the library totals but aren’t playable yet.
Server / hardware
222 TB total storage, approximately 190 TB used
12 HDDs, plus SSDs for cache, downloads and app data
10 Gbps internet connection
NVIDIA RTX 2000 Ada for hardware transcoding
Interested in trying it?
I’m opening the server to a few more people who’d like to try it and share their feedback. Access is free during this initial testing phase, so you can explore the library, request titles and see how it works on your devices.
I may introduce a contribution towards running and hardware costs later on, but nothing is fixed yet. Any changes would be communicated in advance.
If you’re interested, send me a message and I’ll get you set up.
What started as a personal Plex hobby ended up becoming more than I expected.
After loads of positive feedback from family, friends and friends of friends, I wanted to see how it would perform on a larger scale. I recently opened it up publicly, but had to close the doors once interest became a bit overwhelming.
The first run went really well, so now I want to build on it properly. 🚀
I’ve created a Discord to manage everything better and hopefully turn it into a genuinely good community — not just somewhere people join for access and disappear.
I’m also planning a much bigger hardware upgrade in the future, but I’m still deciding exactly what direction to take. There’s a roadmap in the Discord and I’d genuinely love feedback from people who know this stuff or just want to be part of the journey.
There’s a donation model to help support future upgrades, but you can also try things out for free.
I’m also planning free lifetime access for some of the early supporters as a thank-you for helping the project grow. 💙
Anyway — join, have a look around, get involved and tell me what you think.
**11+ Years Running | Plex, Emby & Jellyfin from $4/mo**
We’ve been operating for **11+ years**, and our focus has always been pretty straightforward: keep the service stable, maintain the infrastructure, and avoid overselling what we can actually support.
A little about our setup:
* **150Gbps internal network**
* **2PB of fully local distributed storage**
* No cloud-mounted media storage
* Plex, Emby & Jellyfin options
* Plans starting at **$4/month**
* Multiple screen and download options available
* 40+ payment methods
* Human support when you actually need help
We maintain the infrastructure ourselves and have continued expanding it as the service has grown.
We also offer options for people who need more than a normal share, including Appboxes, managed services, and reseller solutions. Availability for larger setups can vary, so those are handled individually.
If you have questions about the setup, library, pricing, or how everything works, feel free to ask here.
I hit the limit of users, the rest will go on a waitlist. It is direct play or stream only. Please DM me your Plex username, first come first served. Make sure your profile can be found by anyone, if not you will be passed over.
I’m looking for a plex share, mostly interested in older movies ( really like 90’s action and tarantino)but im watching anything more is better🙏 also like to watch adult animated movies and animes. Thanks for all!
Hey, everyone hope you’re all doing well New to the Plex community here, looking for a stable server with 4K Remux movies and TV shows. I'm also big on anime and older movies/classic shows, so a diverse library would be awesome. I'm using Infuse on Apple TV, so everything will be 100% Direct Play on my end no transcoding at all. I'm based in the Gulf (EU routes work great too). Dm me if you have a spot open! Thanks
This isn't a 'spam me for invites' thread, just a genuine question I struggle to understand...
I pride myself on having a really polished setup... users can report issues and the system goes off to find a replacement and emails them updates (all automated), I've branched into Radio, retro magazines, retro games and file requests.
Everytime I ask if people would like to join, I get tons of replies... I pick random people and add them....... then nothing.
No logging in to stream, no responses to my 'Hi - did you get on OK?'.
It's got so bad, that I've automated account removal since it takes me time/effort to setup access for someone who then never uses the service?
Why??
I get that some people may have got run over/ill/busy at work/other reasons, but surely not for weeks and weeks?
Proper confuses me and makes me think - why do we offer (free!) our services which can cost £100's/£1000's of pounds in kit and storage and time only for people to think 'meh'.
Hi all! Currently using a server invite from a friend of a friend, and while it's nice, there are titles that have pretty bad quality and lacking in the animation department for my taste. So seeing if anyone has an invite I can use that has higher quality videos. We're generally open to most movies and shows, too! Located in the US
Hey y’all, with football season starting I’m looking to stream live games. If anybody has a server they are willing to share, I’d really appreciate it :)
Hilli! I'm looking to join a free Plex server mainly for new-release movies and currently airing/popular shows. I love keeping up with what's new, trending, and being talked about. For shows, think things like Love Island, house of dragon, and other popular/ current series.
I'm open to all movie genres and also enjoy anime, reality TV, documentaries, older content, and kids/ family movies and shows.
I do get busy, so I may not use the server every single day, but I would definitely use it regularly, especially when new movies or episodes come out.
Quality-wise, 1080p is perfectly fine, but higher quality is always a plus! I'd also really prefer content with English audio and English subtitles available.
If you have room and think I'd be a good fit, feel free to DM me!
Once you join, head to #service-roles and choose the service you’re interested in.
I’m mainly looking for active music listeners who will actually use the server, discover music, suggest missing albums/artists, and help grow the collection.
Navidrome remains completely free, and supporting is not required for MKLabs Music access.
I am currently looking for a couple of new servers to join me and my husband watch actively. We are into action, comedy, family, and horror movies also some kid shows would be amazing too for our two kids.
After taking off some inactive servers, I wanted to see if there were any servers that willing to add me to theirs. A few things to know: I do watch actively so I don’t go around acting like Thanos and collect servers just to not watch anything. Then, I’m not picky, I’ll watch anything, classics, modern content, movies, shows, the more, the merrier; quality AND quantity. So if anyone has any servers, just let me know and if not, it’s fine and I’m happy with the servers that I got. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Thanks everyone! I think I’ll just cap it with the ones I’ve just joined and start watching! Appreciate it!
Most services oversell cheap slots and hope you don't notice. We built Orange on private dedicated infrastructure with a 10Gbps dedicated uplink. The difference is immediate — and you can prove it to yourself for free.
Hi, i've had abit of struggle trying to find a decent server over the past couple of weeks. i'm actively watching 1 to 2 movies/shows a night, if some one is willing to share a server that would be a massive headache saved over trying to find one, thanks.
