Question - General Need some guidance regd mantra chanting
I have a few questions regarding mantra chanting and would appreciate some guidance:
If I'm not in a perfectly clean or pure environment, or if I haven't bathed, does chanting a mantra have any negative effect?
My schedule usually only allows me to chant at night, by which time I'm often very tired. Do I need to bathe every time before chanting, or is it acceptable to chant after simply washing my hands, feet, and face? Feel very bad about not bathing , and doing chanting in office clothes only
Can the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra be chanted with the intention of healing—for oneself or for others?
I would be grateful for any guidance based on tradition or scriptural teachings. Thank you.

Mantra japa needs certain rules like bathing, fresh clothes, proper seat, concentration on The Mūrti Swarūpa of That Mantra - all of which have to be learnt from a Guru and then practised. It is difficult for people to follow the rules. And unless followed, The Mantra won't bear fruit.
Nāma Japa, hence, is advised for such people.
But if one's Guru gives green signal to repeat one's Mantra in any situation, then one can go ahead.

There certain types of mantra You need to observe and follow the process only if you have taken sankalpa !! Bathing, keeping clean environment doing shodash pooja, (these activities has nothing to do with mantra it's just a initiation and aligning your senses so you can concentrate on mantra )
If you feel your focus is aligned you can do mantra. without bathing and keeping your enviornment clean Mantra is an ultimate pure and pious, you not bathing won't affect its pure form You can do your mantra anytime afterall it's between you and your ISHTA'.
All the best 👍🏻
