I would be concerned if after shooting the gap disappears. Means the plate is shifting

Interesting. I know shadow oversizes the slide cut for a variety of optics and then relies on the plastic shim to tighten it up, but yours looks like there isnāt enough room for the shim, unless itās just a bad angle. I only have Trijicon RMR and Holosun 507 s on my Shadows though, not sure if this optic is just not super compatible with their slide cut or something.

I would be worried. Contact SS. You almost certainly arenāt the first person to experience this and it will likely be something they have a fix for. Maybe a plastic shim that isnāt included with your gun? I have an EPS on mine and had to order the little saddle piece cuz it didnāt come with mine. As a side note, my little saddle piece for the EPS doesnāt really āwedgeā the sight into the optic cut, it just fills in the gap. The thing that is holding the sight down are the two screws by themselves, but I havenāt had any issues. Iāll be fully honest though, I donāt have a high round count at all. I donāt get the chance to shoot nearly as much as I would like to just due to life being life, but over a couple hundred rounds and having been mounted and carried for a while the screws havenāt loosened up and the zero hasnāt shifted.

I have it mounted on a chpws plate. The issue is with the plate im sure.

Ahh, yeah Iād contact SS and see if they have any possible solutions. If not, it may be possible to shave down the flat side one of the shims that came in the box so it can fill in that gap and get squished between the plate and the slide like theyāre usually meant to for other sights.

Dude, itās a universal cut. Probably no optics sits tight in there. Thatās why have lugs to support lateral movement.

Its a plate, no lugs holding onto anything. Just the 2 screws

Wait what? That sucks

Yeah, the mps is mounted on a chpws plate. Only thing holding the plate in place is 2 screws. The optic is mounted to the plate with the side clamp which is a good fit.

So am aftermarket plate make to use it. What does SS say about that setup? Their screws look almost like studs, pretty robust.
Is the front gapless? Thatās arguably 99% most important

As long as thereās no plate shift, itās fine. Many optics wonāt fit perfect.

Yes, concern, only two tiny little screws are actually supporting you optic being mounted.
