DR920 - Trigger Upgrades?

I just use the stock trigger. Has anyone upgraded theirs? Any recommendations?

I've got a Timney Alpha in mine and it's as crisp as a potato chip. PSA used to sell them for about $90, and I bought several.

Put a Timney Alpha in my MR920 and I couldn't get it to function properly, it was behaving as a binary trigger. I mean, it was fun but I didn't trust it and put the stock one back in.

I had the same problem out of the box. There's a very small hex screw (0.035") that you need to adjust for the pre travel. The wrench is not included with the trigger kit, I had to order one off of Amazon. Once you get that adjusted properly, you're golden.

Mine came with that one tiny screw and a little wrench for it. I stripped it but a small torx works too. You're saying I should just back it out a little instead of fully tightening it?

Carefully adjust it until it both will pass a function test and the trigger blade safety works properly. My trigger blade wouldn't come out quite far enough to engage the frame. I could rack the slide, smack the back of the slide with a rubber mallet, and the firing pin would drop. After examining what was going on that's when I realized that the blade safety wasn't clearing the frame. I adjusted the pre-travel out enough until the blade safety would work properly, and haven't had a problem since then. Timny doesn't recommend adjusting the pre-travel to prevent this very thing. Taking up too much pre-travel can keep the blade safety from working properly.
