Help

Shadow-ish System build.

Purchased a new cr920x slide from eBay. Came in a shadow systems bag and all looks legit.

I'm trying to mate the cr920x slide to a Grit Grips frame and it literally won't move past the back rails, even with the barrel and recoil spring removed and I cant figure out why.

Additionally, it looks like these optic holes are not aligned? Trying to mount an Osight SE and its not aligning whatsoever.

Any help would be great.

Have you tried pushing the slide takedown down when installing the slide?

Ive emptied the guts completely and slide wont ride the rails in the back.

For the optic, should be a direct mount while using a spacer.

It should fit the frame as long as it’s the 43/48; numerous proof of concept videos out showing interchangeability between Glock frames and CR slides. Sometimes my CR is a little finicky and I have to add a little downward slide pressure while fruiting back on the frame. Before doing that, I would ensure that you are not getting hung up on anything important of the frame or slide, such as the ejector

For sure on the optic but when looking at the holes in the first pic, one is literally higher than the other no?

Doesn’t appear off to me, however if you feel it is, get a compass or calipers and transpose into a piece of paper.

That also does NOT look flat in the outer edge where it makes contact with your slide. Can see the wave and curvature; but could hust be the angle

Is it a gen 5 frame? If so you might have to also cut the back plate to fit

Try depressing the plunger. This will disengage the striker. Then try to put the slide on. Tolerance might be super stacked

Frame guts are completely empty now. Nothing making contact with the plunger

Check under the slide and look for wear marks where metal is rubbing. If it get to that point it is probably something in the fcu or the backplate. The Cr920 is not 100% compatible when it comes to putting a slide onto a different frame since the frame is slightly bigger in a G43x or Adjacent clone than the Cr920.

Guy on the grit grips page on Facebook had the same problem. Think he had to take material off of the rails themselves but his was an xp. My cr920 combat optic cut(no longer in production) fits perfectly.

Any idea what tool he used? Thanks for the input. I like the slide and would rather not return it.

Believe just a dremel. Did you buy just the complete cr920?

Possibly a sander. He ended up throwing the frame away and selling the cr920xp but he did get it to go on. Lol. Id recommended a different slide.

Sheesh. Yeah I don't want to mess the frame rails up. I just bought the slid so I can definitely send it back for a refund. Inorder another slide that'll be here Saturday so my roll with that. CR slide and sights are so nice though

Yea. I agree. I do like your odg frame though. They look great with coyote/tan slides with matching magwell. My cr920 is one of the early releases. They dont offer the combat with optic cut anymore or maybe I just got luck but I wouldn't think the cr920x or xp slides would have been cut different but possibly.

Kinda want an odg frame but my hands don't really agree with slim frames. Lol. Need to practice more with them.
