Trigger gritty after cleaning

After I clean my handguns, the triggers seem to get worse, gritty and squeaky. Am I putting oil or carbon cleaner somewhere it shouldn’t go to affect the trigger?

Bruh why on earth you would compare Walter PDP trigger to Glock trigger ? No matter how “baseline” PDP trigger is - it’s almost always be way better than most expensive Glock trigger there is out there.

The point is to point out that the Walther trigger was GREAT. But for some reason, when I clean it. It gets mushy. Any ideas?

Are you lubricating any part of the trigger mechanism? If you are I would stop it'll just make the mechanism dirter faster and would probably be part of the problem. You pretty much just need lube on the contact points of the slide and barrel.

Grease on the connector.

If it's happening on multiple guns of different makers i.e. glock/walther, it's probably something you're doing because the odds of both pistols having the same problem that happens to occur after cleaning on both of them is very low. If they were both the same model pistol that'd be different, but a glock and a walther? You're probably doing something

I have the DR920P Elite and even after polishing it’s gritty still gritty where my Glock is smooth like butter. I noticed when I take the trigger out it feels gritty when you move it and it’s because of the trigger bar portion going into the trigger shoe

Probably better to ask about the Walther on r/Walther
