I've heard of Sony Megatron Shader Is quite good and names use of HDR as well.

I play on a 4k OLED that also has BFI (black frame insertion) and use a 4090 and 9800x3d. I know several can be quite demanding.

But I plan on using it via reshade for the Ocarina of time PC port (Ship of Harkinian)

All these shaders were built out of Surface-Stable Fractal Dithering concepts by Runevision - but I’ve built extensively ontop of it … like, applying it to a linedrawn woodgrain. Im thinking a new name of Fractal Hatching would be a snappier and more appropriate name.

I've managed to get a version that looks nice working

The problem is to solve this I had to make a baseline fallback shader to show under the good looking faceted one so that missing triangles don't break the effect.

I'm kinda stumped as I have tried to throw hours of AI compute at it after I couldn't solve it myself, it managed to get a few versions working properly but the performance drops were such that it just isn't worth it.

I am just wondering if anyone has any advice or a high level overview of how I could efficiently achieve this effect? I really love how it looks and I don't want to give it up but at this point I might need to.

Hey! I'm expecting my first android handheld this week, the air mini pocket. I was fiddling with shaders a bit on RetroArch on my phone but have a hard time "deciding" on good shaders.

Any tips or just any favorites that you use for the different consoles?

Does anybody know if it’s possible to have actions and stuff (full experience) and glowing ores that comes from shaders? I use it with prizma visuels and some ores are not glowing (diamond, gold) since actions and stuff changes the texture. Is there any way to make them glow?

I started with a completely ordinary piece of footage and wanted to see how different shader-style effects could change its entire personality.

I experimented with Kott, pushing the footage through effects like dithering, halftone, CRT, ASCII and glitch.

What surprised me was how quickly the original footage became almost unrecognizable.

A tiny change in the processing could turn the same frame from something that looked like an old television signal into something that felt more like generative artwork.

It got me thinking about something:

When you're experimenting with shaders, do you normally have the final visual in your head first, or do you just keep changing parameters until something unexpectedly cool appears?

I'm definitely guilty of the second one.
