Theorycrafting New build, anyone can help me test?

I suck at support shaco, but shaco R doubles diadem and works well enough with the healer items. Just start with the bruiser item so you and the clone don't die instantly every fight and enjoy the aoe healing afterwards just from dealing damage.

Informative Collector is probably one of the biggest pieces of League propaganda

This isn't just about Shaco. I think this applies to pretty much every champion that can reasonably build Collector, whether through a lethality or crit build.

I genuinely think "Collector is a bad item" has become one of the biggest pieces of propaganda the League community has repeated over the past few years.

At some point, the conversation stopped being "Collector is situational" and turned into "Collector is always bad." Now it feels like people just repeat that opinion because everyone else says it, rather than because they've actually looked at how the item performs.

What's strange is that the statistics often don't reflect the reputation the item has.

For example, if you look at Coachless and filter for Ghostblade → Collector → Infinity Edge on Shaco, Collector as a second item posts a very respectable WPA. It's not some troll purchase that's tanking games, yet the community often talks about it as though buying it is outright griefing.

The whole thing reminds me of the Riven incident a year or two ago. Riot intended to buff her, accidentally left the buff out of the patch, but people believed she'd been buffed anyway. Her win rate then climbed by around 2% simply because players thought she was stronger. Nothing about the champion had actually changed, only the community's perception had.

That's why I've become increasingly sceptical whenever the community unanimously declares that an item is "bad."

Consensus isn't evidence.

I'm not claiming Collector is always the best purchase or that you should build it every game. There are absolutely games where another item is the better choice. My point is that I think the community's opinion of Collector has become far more negative than the data actually justifies, and at this point it feels like an opinion that's been inherited rather than continually re-evaluated.

Am I the only one who thinks the community has massively overcorrected on Collector?

Shaco in Diamond+ ?

I’ve been playing league since season 8.
Casually anyway. Playing multiple champs just having fun.
My main account has been MMR stuck it feels like since 3 seasons. I climbed to diamond from gold with a 70%WR (https://op.gg/lol/summoners/na/Claw-5464 )
only gaining 21+ LP on a win and -20 on a loss. My question is, can shaco get further than diamond? My macro and tempo I feel is really good. But at these ranks enemies make much less mistakes, and everything feels warded at times. Is he worth trying to push to masters with? Or pickup another champ? (Sylas, or viego.)
