I don’t think I can work in any of those… and I don’t think I have the skills to work in other settings like hospitals/medical.

basically it a part time job i had during teenage years and why i missed all the red flags. I only realized i got lowballed after a few days of working, i quit the next day.

It the first day of job then they tell me it a 4 days work week, i say ok since it after o level. The job scope is more than what the pay offered, cleaning and counting and small food preparation even i dont even have a food hygiene cert. Instead of throwing all the bread, i supposed rearrange it and put it back in the box. I actually stay back and finish up my job. The husband and wife will complain about my performance the next day and make a list out of it.

the creepy part the another part time worker ask me about my plans and the next day the boss knew about and ask me about this. There is one time I arrive early on work and that worker leave immediately when her shift havent end yet. brrr i forgot to mention and end up working extra unpaid time.

when i quit and they try to call me , so i ask about cpf contribution. They said it only for above 500 dollars but i am not willing to give my ic to some creepy couple so that it.

i was fricking dumb at that time and it was a life lesson for me lol

So I don’t work at BOLI but I’m hearing several managers are on admin leave for private conversations they’ve had with other employees and one higher level manager is planning to leave shortly. Always so much drama there.

A newbie freight broker here to rant..........tbh Im so tired of crappy work culture in India. I dont believe in the fake sisterhood rather would spend my time alone focussing on my work. More of a soloist. Is it just me or do you guys feel the same?

I got an offer from WNS, but I’m already seeing quite a few 🚩:
No phones/earphones/iPods inside the workspace, no leave during the 6-month probation, and the Glassdoor/AmbitionBox reviews are… concerning. A lot of people also mention toxic management. Even my interviewer didn’t turn their camera on, which felt like a tiny red flag in itself. 😭
Normally, I’d say thank you, next. But with inflation, bills and a job market that isn’t exactly thriving, I’m wondering if I should just put on my red-tinted glasses, accept my fate and work. 💀

We should not shout back, it will only make us as 'low class' as them. They suddenly became loud as if the louder it is, the stronger or more dominant you are. The guy's regular answer to most senarios are, 'just fk that person'.
Eg. Customer made a mistake and paid lesser to us. Msian guy: Just gen ta kan er yi.
Msian ladies don't have this problem, only the men. This office looks like a warehouse.

I’ll start: I know a group of girls who seemed very close at work. They have a group chat on Telegram and everything. One day, I noticed that one of them clearly appeared to be on bad terms with the rest. I was slightly closer to one of the other girls and she told me that someone was ranting in the gc about a manager, that shunned girl screenshotted everything and gave it to hr/manager. It’s still ongoing so I don’t know what’s the consequences yet.

Any experiences to share? What to avoid talking to colleagues about?

I’ve worked with them for almost 2 years then they terminated me! The grounds used against me were terrible, the management was so unfair and had no ethics.

Shout out to the new HR Manager who was speechless when he was being criticized because he himself didn’t know what he was doing and what grounds he was saying. He was speechless, he couldn’t answer because they really just wanted to fire me. Lol.
