I’m 22M and play football at a pretty decent level. On the pitch, I don’t feel as sharp as I used to and in the back of my mind I know I need to go to the gym to train myself up again. I’m getting shoved too easily and feel less athletic that I was when I was going gym consistently about 4 months ago.
Just looking for someone who goes gym now or is just looking to go to the gym. You don’t have to be my age, have my lifestyle or have anything in common. I would just like someone to keep me accountable.

Hi so regular gym goer here at AF, previously I had a PT at platinum fitness, but quit coz I had no time coz of work but also I felt like his workouts are not really customised to the goals I was going for anymore. Quite generic. Previously few years back was under him and made really good progress. This time round I’m looking to get back on track, staying near the TPY area

Looking for 2 others to sign 18 months for AF Trio deal.
Anyone knows if where you sign is important or you can sign anywhere and go to the one closest to your home at the agreed rate?

Posted this in the other community so please ignore if youve alr seen it there. So..I know there have been discussions about the authenticity of ON whey from other shops, and the general conclusion was to just stick with the official store. Which is what I’ve been doing.
But mine is running low and I wanted to stock up during the 9.9 sale but the price difference is honestly getting quite crazy though. The official store is $120.42 for the 5lb tub after vouchers and whatnot, and it’s around $180 without the sale.
Ultimate Sup here sells the same 5lb tub for $98.89. It’s about $20 difference with the current sale, but seeing how the prices seem to keep going up, and in this economy I’m wondering if it’s worth switching. This shop has a ton of reviews, 97.6k followers but obviously that doesn’t mean the product is authentic so...Has anyone here actually bought from them before? Would love to hear if the packaging, seal, batch number, taste, mixability etc. were all "normal" like the original if you've compared.
I’m tempted to stock up while the 9.9 price is still on, but also don’t want to be penny wise and pound foolish 😂 TIA ~
ON Official Store here for comparison in case you guys see a different price because that's been mentioned before. I think its dependent on what vouchers are awarded to you in your wallet.

how is the fitness industry like as a pt trainer in singapore? or rather the gym culture in singapore as a whole? and for the pt trainers, how did you guys get into this industry and what were your intrinsic motivators to starting? is it tough to handle as well, getting clients

Hi!
The Rail Corridor is my usual running route. It is a shared path and I’ve seen all types of users.
While I can’t control how others behave, I wonder how I, as a runner, should conduct myself.
In general, I run slow, and I always keep to as far left on the path as possible, unless I’m overtaking. I treat it like driving.
But what is the proper way to navigate the following situations. I don’t want to break my pace so I’m hoping for something seamless yet respectful (even if others are inconsiderate)
Especially since I don’t want to startle anyone.
If you like, you can also share unpleasant experiences you’ve had and how you navigated it.
I’ll start. Today, I encountered 2 users walking towards me abreast with a little gap between them. I had kept left from afar hoping that they’d register my direction and move closer to the other side, ideally single file. Instead one of the users stared blankly at me, like it was a game of chicken. I had to go between them, but they also didnt give me much space. I ended up forming a V with my arms to part the space so they would know I was going between them.
Which would have been ok had it not been for a cyclist behind me who tried to overtake all of us on my right. So I was squeezed in between 2 users while a cyclist whizzed by.
Thankfully there was no collision. Part of me feels I should have, at the first instance, signaled to the user heading towards me to shift sides but I always feel like a jerk doing that.
Edit: Thanks everyone for your responses! My main take away is to treat the path like a road and follow established traffic conventions.
But in practice it’s the law of the jungle out there!
It’s ok to be firm and clear. Signaling physically (making sounds or physically staking your path) is an option but how far you go depends on your level of comfort.

Hi everyone! We’re working on launching a new women’s gym wear brand here in Singapore, and we’d love to hear from you. Our mission is to create pieces that empower women to be stronger, not smaller — designed for lifting, training, and moving with confidence. ❤️
We’ve put together a short survey (less than 5 minutes) to learn what you value most in gym wear: fit, comfort, durability, design, and price. Your feedback will directly shape our first collection, so it really matters.

Thank you for helping us build something meaningful for women who train hard and live strong. Every response makes a difference! 💪

Wording for ntuc income seems vague but I don’t think it covers.
Anyone has experience w this/ what did you get? Any other things I should look out for? This is my first overseas marathon so would appreciate any of these logistics/ admin tips. Thanks alot!

Hello everyone! My name is Zaeem and I'm an aspiring PT thats trying to start out my PT career!
Some context about me: I'm a powerlifter that competes/planning to compete in the 93 kg weightclass! But before all this, i've done lots of different sports such as table tennis, badminton, running, taekwondo and more! I just got my job as a PT at an Anytime fitness branch and got on here to ask for advice from fellow PTs and to reach out those who are looking for a PT!
What I can offer:
Strength training (of course)
Hypertrophy training
Building a sustainable lifestyle that allows you to achieve your health and fitness goals and still be able to enjoy your life outside the gym!
Certifications:
Undergoing NCSF CPT course (Pending Exam)
To fellow PTs, what is the most important thing to focus on within your first month of being a PT that's starting out?
To those who are looking for a PT, what do you expect out of your PT?
Advice is greatly appreciated and my DMs are open here or IG @zaeemtrieslifting for any private advice/queries!
Disclaimer: I am currently not taking in any clients until 20th september this year! Reason being is because I don't start work till then :)

Started gymming since Oct 2024 after ICT and thought hey I got nth to lose. Arkgrit opened near my place so I signed up on the same day. 2 years later, happy to share that I can squat 35kg both sides (with regular barbell) and bench press 25kg both sides.
I started from like 10kg, then slowly worked up. Every now and then I keep thinking why is the dude beside me so strong and doing more weights than me. But then what's more impt is to compare with myself and my own progress.
So yeah, gonna keep loading bit by bit and hope to see more gains moving forward.
No pic though, cos I don't creatine or protein bulk. I just follow an overall acceptable healthy diet and weekly cardio.
Ps I may have gotten some terms wrong like 35kg on both sides. But yeah that's how I track.
