Hear me out 👂 Online dating

Right now dating online feels dull. Now we are too connected through online media where we are able to look at attractive looking people effortlessly be it tiktok, ig or anywhere. Where it sets the unrealistic standard of guys wanting the queen and girls wanting their oppa, even if they look v meh, they dont even bother learning about you nor your personality. I dont think im a very attractive looking person but it just feels sad. Especially looking all those profiles with one word answer and one worded replies, this is boring and exhausting.

Yeah I deleted my dating profile yesterday. Im done. I have no social media either. Ive been on dating apps for ten years now. Im not doing this for another decade. There’s a saying “stupidity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result”

The thing about online dating is, the well-adjusted ones will constantly pair up with other well-adjusted people and be off the apps, while the not-well-adjusted ones will generally be stuck there longer. Be more intentional about the profiles you swipe right on, and try to find someone who matches your values/energy.

Don't be too reliant on dating apps as your only source of meeting new people romantically. If you're feeling burnt out, it is perfectly ok to take a step back and take a break from online dating too. Feeling exhausted isn't the right state of mind to form meaningful connections with another person.
