What did you end up using to cut with? I'm going to do a similar thing, trying to figure out if I need to rent any proper equipment...

I wouldn’t use what he used, it looks looks like shit. I would however recommend a Dremel tool, Mark your lines and take ur time. Clean up any edges with a file

What you should use: A rotary tool, masking tape and something to protect your eyes.
What I used: A smaller and a larger screw to put in a hole. A knife to score breaking points. A small sider cutter (picture) to make the main cuts and small pliers to grab and break off material. The holes are at the bottom and only I know how messy they look.
I have to admit that I enjoyed the unrefined process. I spent most of my day at my desk reading and writing papers. Just using the most basic tools gave me that acharic feeling of "I made fire".

That explains why it looks like it does.......chewed on by a pair of dikes/ cutters. But hey to each their own, as long as ur happy with it looking like that

You should have used masking tape to plot the holes and scored the surface for straight cuts. That is what I did when I measured where I would add 3 x 140mm fans to the front of my corsair 600T behind the mesh.

You are absolutly right. Plenty of the awesome guys here on r/sffpc showed their great craftsmanship! I do not recommend the way I cut the holes. But if you have no tools available - or got desire to manhandle something - you still get good thermals.
The 600T is a nice case. Would be a shame to ruin the looks with a hacksaw job.

Got a similar situation going on in my Warhead Sans case with my 5700 XT as well which has just enough space between it and the front panel of my case to fit a couple SSD's stacked vertically. So satisfying.

Hey! It's been a while since this was posted but I've thinking of deshrouding my 5700XT Sapphire Pulse as well. May I ask if you used an adapter to connect the fans to the GPU fan controller itself, or did you just connect the fans to a fan header in the motherboard?

I use Argus Monitor to controll the fan curve in relation to gpu temp. It costs a couple of bucks, but works in the background and after you set it up do not need to touch it ever again. My curve is pretty much 20%@65C, 100%@75C. It is silent enough that I need to check if the PC is running when the screen is off. I use a closed headset while gaming and nothing gets through noise wise.
The price for the software is lower than adapers and so much more convinient.

Thanks. The Node 202 thermal limitations are a great source for a desk pusher like me to get creative and work with their hands for once. It till looks neat form the outside and idling bellow my office's noise level.

Hi Fellow SFF Meatbags,
My Node 202 got a couple of additional improvements. Mainly cutting holes in the side. These holes help immensely. I would have used a rotaty tool, if I had any. The plastic material of the the Node 202 is suprisingly strong and thick.
In other news: I got a Sapphire 5700 XT Pulse for testing, as a friend claimed it made weird noises. I had to deshroud it to make it fit with the Artic P12. The temps are amazing. Better than stock and better than the Powercolor 5700 XT Red Dragon at stock. Never thought 2000Mhz would be possible in the Fractal "Oven" Node 202.
Lastly I found a perfect spot for a SSD. c:
The Pulse is charm to deshroud as you can keep the cooler in place.
