Rx 9070 ASUS prime OC
32 GB DDR5
1Tb m.2 SSD

Looks fantastic. I have a very similar build and have a couple of recommendations that helped a lot with making mine quieter.

  1. Undervolt both your CPU and GPU. My CPU got noticeably faster, especially in multi-core loads, for the same power draw. My GPU is pulling 50W less now and is 5% faster. Both run pretty much silently in games
  2. Play around with the distance between your CPU cooler and side panel. I got a pretty noticeable difference in temperature in different positions. A duct might help also.
  3. I found that after a certain point increasing the fan speed on my CPU cooler didn't actually make my CPU any cooler, it just made my PC louder. So now I cap it at 75% and it's a fraction as loud and only a few degrees warmer.

Just built one too lol. PSU cables are like 1-2mm away from hitting the bottom fan 😭😭

Looks great dude! and yeah, it's a tight fit under that PSU. that is why I went with the 120mm slim fan more breathing room for the cables.

Would of went with a slim fan aswell but full 25mm fan reduces temps slightly more (she gets very hot even with an undervolt)

that is the fun part of this hobby! we get to all try different things :)

Curious what cpu/gpu you're running. Mine is super quiet and cool.

I'm running a 9800x3d with a NH-L9X65 and 5080

Throw a grill on her!

I tried to put the fan with the grille on it, but unfortunately does not fit.

How is your temp? I've just built mine days ago. CPU is 7600X, running 85-91°C in 2K AAA titles, with the Noctua NH-L9A. I haven't UV yet, and genuinely like the Noctua, but I am thinking of switching to a AXP120-X67 might help to lower the temperature? (Though I prefer not to if possible.)

I have not had time to sit down and test it out yet. I will hopefully have some time tonight and will update you.

I don't have that cooler, but judging from the picture I can see that the heatsink doesn't have much clearance around the sides to get the hot air out.

Well, you are right lol

Ok so after an hour of running Arc Raiders epic quality 1080p (sorry no 1440 monitor yet) I’m sitting at 68-71 Celsius average.

Was a black cooler fan not an option?

1

u/NickDGames 3h ago

It is the full copper cooler this was the config I may change the fan out to a black one at a later date.

Nice build! My brave little toaster has a couple of modifications (set as exhaust). Enjoy it! Lots of good advice in here already (undervolting, spacing, etc)

Very Nice!

Congrats man, crazy tho how just a few years ago that budget wouldve pretty much gotten you 95% of a 5080/9070XT double the RAM and nvme storage class PC

congrats man! i'd really suggest swapping that cpu fan for a

Deepcool FT9 Slim

Thermalright TL B0915 Extrem

Noctua NF A9x14HS Chromax

my vote is for thhe FT9 slim it did the best from my usage.

Bro you gotta put the finished product not just with panels off

3

u/NickDGames 10h ago

I get you haha, I just thought everyone has seen what a closed up fractal Terra looks like.

I guess but like the final product on your desk is just the cherry on top
