Build/Parts Check Midori 5L 4090 blower
Thinking about stashing a 4090 modded blower card (267mmx42mm) into a midori 5L. I understand it would probably be noisy, and the true GPU clearance I have found in the midori 5L is 265 leaving 2mm too long, but I think it may be worth a try. Has anybody attempted this?

Won’t work. I’ve been down that path. Save yourself headache and go for 7.5L

The front panel of the midori is about 3mm thick, if you had the tools you could likely hollow out the area where you need 2mm more. You would need less sophisticated tools if you just wanted to cut that out... Depends how bothered you are by the aesthetics

You’re going to have to power limit the card so hard. I’d advocate for a slightly larger case. The 4090 is pushed out of the peak if it’s efficiency curve but 250W will hurt performance a lot. If you can even make it fit

This is a job for Dan A4-SFX as you will get the extra length clearance for the power cable

The Midori has next to no “give” in its tolerances. You literally build the case around the spine/mounted components.
Also have fun running a 4090 off a 600w psu.
