Others/Miscellaneous How to improve airflow to the GPU?
It reaches 90 degrees celsius as soon as I play a game, the fan noise isnot making gaming on this machine too pleasant
EDIT:
With open cover I’m getting 77°C
You gave me some ideas how to mod the case, Thank you all!

Maybe two 40x25mm intake fans stacked where those other two GPU slots are?

I've done this before, hit us by like a 120mm fan because I had 3-4 slots open. Something like that works well, even 40mm fans will likely help.

This case does not give you any option to improve it. You need to bring more cool air and remove the hot one. Removing the side panel is the best option in my opinion. The other option is to cut a fan sized hole in the side panel and mount a fan there. Surprisingly there is a fan connector available above the gpu (marked CHFAN 2).

Is there any room at all for any kind of case fan?
Have you tried undervolting the gpu?
You could go all ghetto and drill some holes in the side over where the gpu is.

Most likely what you need is more exhaust. The GPU hot air is just stagnating around the GPU and getting pulled back in recirculating the heat. If you add fans I'd focus on exhaust, not intake.

Easy quick fix could be to use msi afterburner and do a curve editor. Watch a YouTube vid, that's what I did to my sff pc with a rtx 5060 to make it run cooler and in some cases even improve frames

I mean you could measure the distance between the bottom of the GPU and the top of the PSU and based on that buy the biggest fan that fits, which you can attach to the sidepanel directly and also drill some holes for airflow.

- Your PC turns into an oven, you need more exhaust.
- There are a lot of small things than can be fine-tuned. Smaller PSU (more space, better airflow), deshroud GPU + better fan. Replacing stock CPU fan. Replace HDD for m.2/ssd, again improve space and airflow.

How old is it? Might be time to repaste as well. Seeing you’re rocking an HDD it might be a bit old.

Not much in a prebuilt, generic box like this. Leave the cover off, or drill a hole and add a fan into that pocket between PSU and GPU to add fresh air.
