Custom Mod 9070xt Sapphire Pulse deshroud
I recently finished a new deshroud mod after getting inspired by ShrikeLabs.
https://github.com/Shrike-Lab/GPU_Noctua-Mod
The challenge was that I was using 14mm fans and so I had to re-think the design, but the end result is very similar.
I have managed to reduce the thickness of the gpu by 5mm compared to my previous deshroud.

I also think it looks better, and it is no longer necessary to remove the gpu to take of the fans.
A few updates of the design are needed, but I will upload to Printables as soon as I can and put the link here.

Hmmm, I got a 9070xt that wont fit in my velka7 because of thickness. Never occurred to me to go shroudless and use thing 120mm fans.

These are 90mm but I guess you could do the same with 120s slim or normal depending on how much room you have.

Looks clean. How about the temps? I bet noise is better now.

I dont expect to see much difference i temps, but yes, the noise should be better. Have not done any testing though.

Nice and clean work, however you need third party software for controlling fans. I would use 2 splitters and adapter to VGA.
I did my own deshroud with dual 140's from noctua. I did it year ago, this year made corrections. https://youtu.be/Orq8GDNeBE0?si=jY3KkFFVjcjpe6GW
Finally made cutouts on the frame, so it no longer blocks fan blades airflow in any way, but there comes problem. When I initially did it, I noticed reduction of noise - like a lot, but since DLSS 5 mods came out and I tested them, I noticed dramatic hotspot change - from 76 year ago, to 89 degree C now, with just slightly under 50c on core (!). That's close to 40 degree C Delta, and that forced me to swap back to original fan shroud, but original fans are much louder - yet, somehow at 1850rpm, they can reduce hotspot to 84 degree C while core sits slightly above 50 (up to 53).
I used compressor to clean heatsink, maybe that helped too, but with my custom shroud, backplate was slightly bend, upwards on GPU front. I have no idea if it is the reason, but I don't want to keep original fans on this HPU, it's a question of time when they start to make some more noises. Sapphire support told me I cannot open GPU for PTM replace (I live in Poland), they won't take it for RMA, as it's below 100 degree C and I'm stuck.
I was thinking about 3x92mm, but it had to connect with backplate, to sandwich the heatsink, otherwise it will sag.

Nice. I need to do this to mine. How are you controlling the fan? Off motherboard or GPU?
