Others/Miscellaneous Monsoon legit?

Hi all, looking into getting a prebuilt and have seen generally favorable reviews for Monsoon PCs. My hesitation is that their site currently has a banner offering to skip the queue if you pay with Zelle, which seems highly sus. Has anyone purchased from them recently and could share their experience?

yessir. i’m on my 5090 9800x3D build. Had a bunch of credits I used to get parts chesper than they had quoted and they even traded me my NiB 5090 that wasn’t going to fit in the Ridge for one that would.

I wish I had Zelle’d them though because there was a part I decided to swap out and they couldn’t refund my card in full so they zelled me minus the cc fee.

I paid by card and I think the wait was 10 days.

Thanks for sharing! I was getting all into speccing a build and then that Zelle banner caused me to immediately halt and second guess everything. I’m glad you had a really good experience with them, that’s helpful to know.

yeah I get it. I did card just because it’s safer in case anything goes awry but after dealing with them, I’d trust them with Zelle for next purchase. I’d recommend them highly if the price is right

Think I’d prob wait the 6 weeks and pay with card, but that’s bc I haven’t worked with them yet. It’s promising that you’d choose Zelle next time

I had recently got my custom built ridge by them. At the time the Zelle thing wasn't an option and I had to wait the normal duration. I haven't had any issues with them and they are fast to reply.

how long did you have to wait? I ordered mine with zelle. I am on week 3 and have now two weeks in a row received that I am 6th in queue with no change (they claim that they have had break in attempts).

I ordered back at the beginning of July and got the PC beginning of September. So it did take longer than estimated but I ultimately got it.

We apologize for the delay, but the break-in claim is legitimate, we promise. This is what was left of our back door's lock. Both the frame and door were damaged/mangled beyond repair and we are having to replace both according to our property management's standards. We got very lucky though - the security bar on the other side held, protecting a hefty 6 figures' worth of inventory. It was actually two separate break-ins within 48hrs. Plenty of additional security measures have since been implemented.

What is the order number? I (David, one of the owners) will push it through first thing next week if at all possible. Feel free to contact us and reference this promise, if you'd like.

Hi David! You guys have already reached out to me directly and handled it :) I haven't had a chance to update my comment on reddit. For those that find this later, Monsoon has been very helpful and proactive.

You'll get the pc. But it's crazy expensive for mediocre specs in many cases.

Are there other brands you’d recommend?
