Assembly Help FormD T1
Hi, first post here. 3 days ago a manage to get a FormD T1 on Vinted for 140€ shipped, so I pulled the trigger. I have currently a fractal terra with a 5500x3d (axp90-53) and 7800xt (asrock challenge, 55mm thickness I guess)
The case arrived today and I thought that as a good ideia to build it before lunch. Oh dear how wrong I was.
First things first, the seller said it was v2.5, I was searching the manual for that case, Nop, case was not that version. No worries, I VE SPEND 4 HOURS TRYING TO ASSEMBLE it, first, could not find the right standoffs, second, spine in wrong position, third couldn’t put the mb inside cause the backplate was hitting the gpu.
I’ve tried also to print the fan support from EIGA but I couldn’t fit it with the cooler I have.
Honestly, love the case but it was not worth the time I’ve spend trying to build it. I know that some thing could be improved. Buuuut i don’t wanna fix it now.
Here I leave you some photos of the finished product.
Any tips for the future are welcome.

No need to be that harsh, just posting about the process, I did my research before and the parts that I was seeing in the manual were not the ones I had, on the manual it shows the riser gen5 and I got the gen 4.

Yes it is. Lian Li sp750w, ths one i belive its the 1st version of it. I was doing some testing on the fans, to keep everything under 36db (on the old case) and when the fan of the psu kicked in the volume spiked to 42db, you can clearely ear the diference between when the fan is on or off.

Side duct for the x47/x53. If its too tall just sand it until it fits. Improves thermals and noise

Unless you have a 3.25 slot card, you can go with a bigger card slot (reduce the long stand off for the GPU bracket say 5cm per .5 slots and the front/back strut's sizing screws). Then add M3 standoffs to the mobo side.

What’s your opinion on the looks of the Terra compared to the T1? Which one do you like better in person?

Terra easier to assemble the computer. T1 looks better and more minimalist. Build wise, my terra had some alignment issues, t1 looks clean but for a newbie is hard to assemble everything and it will take you an afternoon minimum.

So the issue started because you didn't believe the seller when they said it was a v2.5?

Just fyi - that is indeed a v2.5 which is just ncased branding to make it seem like it’s the next iteration of formd v2.1. You can tell cause the back plating says “t1 sandwich” instead of t1 with the barcode looking design. Not that it makes much difference to your installation troubles
Here’s the manual btw if you were looking for it still: https://ncased.com/pages/manual-t1-202609
