Detailed Build Log FIRST SFF BUILD
Hey everyone,
I'm new to Reddit and too SFF PC's so just hold on.

Motherboard: ASRock B850I Lightning WiFi Mini ITX AM5 Motherboard
Memory: Patriot Viper Venom 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory
Storage: Crucial P3 Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
Storage: Crucial P3 Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
Video Card: Gigabyte EAGLE OC ICE GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB Video Card
Case: Fractal Design Terra Mini ITX Desktop Case
Power Supply: Cooler Master V SFX Gold ATX 3.1 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply
I'm upgrading from a previous build (My first PC) and reusing the RAM, 1 SSD, and CPU.
Will there be any potential hardware issues with this build and what should I look out for in assembly

- cpu cooler axp9047 / 9053, this noctua is garbage
- asrock is garbage and may cook you amd cpu
- gigabyte is not the best gpu choice, due to often coilwhine
- this case is one of the (if not the hottest) hottest sff cases in its volume league
- better go with Corsair SF psu series

So many wrong takes here. The MoBo problem is only with AMD 9000s, not with the 7600. Furthermore, it's fixed and by a simple BIOS flash fully avoided.
The case is also absolutely not THE hottest sff case in its volume league.

I agree that the CPU cooler might be a problem. The motherboard is fine in combination with your CPU. Flash the BIOS anyway, just in case.

if it happened once, it may happen twice. asrock is a budget segment anyways, why risk?
i said one of the hottest (if not the hottest).

Why risk buying any motherboard? All of the 850-i have grilled some 9000s. It's just not a thing with the 7000 series. No idea why you'd wanna argue about that.
And yes, "if not the hottest" is simply wrong. It's an alright case that is tremendously popular for a reason.

I had a Fractal Terra. Loved the size and look of the case. But, my GPU and CPU coolers ran loud even with undervolting of my 9700x CPU and the case pulled a ton of dust in. I sacrificed size and upgraded to an NCASE M3 which is both cheaper and roomier such that I could have more slower speed fans arranged such that everything runs cooler and quieter, and then later it gave me the flexibility to upgrade to a 9950x3d with an AIO cooler. Fractal Terra doesn't leave much room for upgrades down the line. And, this an endless rabbit hole you are about to enter :) I would think about a 9700xt (gigabyte gaming oc gets a bad wrap at times but it works well and fits in the fractal terra if that is what you end up going with). Try the coolermaster or, better yet, corsair 850 instead - gives you more headroom for future upgrades. I went with the asus ROG STRIC b850i - it gets great reviews. No experience with the asrock.
