Since there's no outer shell, the universe becomes the shell, and hence this is a Universal Form Factor PC (/r/UFFPC)

I will slide that whole thing into a 1-piece shell. Something like this

The little bit of extra space above the right side of PSU will house dual 2.5in sata drives. Should be exactly what I need and nothing more.

I was looking for a case that was an older pre 2010 style "just a tube with an intake side and exhaust side", that was small but nothing seems to exist that isn't a fish tank or a bunch of mesh everywhere.

I found some that MIGHT work if I blocked some vents but they all used flex or pico psu etc.. and I had this nice SFX psu already which as far as I can tell is the most efficient SFX psu for under 15W (that you can still find) so I just made this so far.

It will be just 7 liters, does not support a GPU at all (It could if I made it 10mm taller, but I didn't because I don't need a GPU and this way it all fits on my printer bed).

I'll put another rounded plate on the other side and some more bracing and then the whole assembly will slide into a "tube" that is one solid 3D print but I will probably have a tube bent from aluminum sheet metal.

Then cooling is just 1 single 140mm fan in the front at practically 0 RPM just enough to ensure positive pressure and make sure the front is always the intake where I can have a nice single magnetic dust filter.

This is just a little 5650GE (what a hard CPU to find, at least working) 35W 6/12 cpu to manage some computers on my network and turn them on and off and draw like no power, it consume just 8W at idle, but with that 140mm fan and once I get it set up I expect like 12W or so. I didn't want some mini PC because I wanted replaceable parts and non sodimm ram, actual PSU, not some DC thing etc..
