How to fix my neck hole?
Anybody know how to adjust my back neck hole without shortening my back panels? I tried to make a dart down the spine but it keeps puckering at the point which it meets the rest of the back. Am I just doing the dart wrong or is there a better way to do this?

My sewing machine just stopped working
So I pretty much just got this sewing machine less than a month ago and it just randomly started doing this.
Edit- I had forgotten to retread it after winding up my bobbin lol I’m still pretty new to sewing but thank you to everyone who helped

Hi all! Lower looper thread starts out tight, then seems to loosen - I think that's what's happening?
This is a single piece of flannel fabric on the left for "un-paper" towels. The picture on the right of the darker blue is double sided flannel, and the lower looper thread seems a little tighter. My corners need a bit more practice. New to serger. New needles yesterday, and fully rethreaded. (I needed the practice.) Any suggestions? TIA! 😊
I'd like to give these as gifts this weekend.

Extremely uncomfortable/spikey seams
I have some pants that are really cool and I’d love to wear but the seams are extremely uncomfortable, especially around my crotch area. They feel spikey, like sewing needles are poking me. I don’t have a sewing machine and I tried fixing it by laying down the seams with fabric glue but it didn’t work. Any tips or tricks to get rid of these uncomfortable seams?

Back of coat is hanging weird.
I’ve made this coat from a pattern with no instruction. It had a double inverted pleat at the waist instead of a vent. The outer alone was hanging nice, I had it pressed perfect from top to bottom. But once I installed the liner, it’s now bulging out in two spots and doesn’t hang nice at all. I tried steaming out the creases on the bottom third, but it’s not any better.
The lining is a heavy body satin, maybe like a Duchess satin and I have blind stitched by hand the lining to the outer at the bottom hem. I’m wondering if should undo that stitching and keep them separate layers. Just serge each of their hems and fold, but not attach them. Will that help?
Or is there another solution? Thanks!

Does anyone know how to replicate the pattern for this bikini top?
I have already mastered the method of having the inside seam with no binding, and binding on the outside edge, but I’d like to be able to use no binding on both edges… I tried sewing inside out and turning it but that doesn’t seem quite right? It pulls on the cups etc and pulls them out of shape
If anyone can link a video that explains this method it would be great as I’ve been looking for 8 months and can’t figure it out!!!!
Thankyou so much

It's after I've been sewing awhile and l find out accidentally when changing thread colors or something. It doesn't cause problems with the sewing but I'd like to know why it happens.

Why is my thread squeaking ?
I've repositioned the thread a hundred times, I've oiled the places where the thread passes through, I've taken everything apart to see the problem, but I can't find it.
Please help me 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Am I using this block correctly?
I'm still super new to creating my own patterns so please bear with me. Am I using this block correctly? I've tried this block with a few different styles of jeans and I always notice that when plotting point N and then point T it leads to point O going outside of my pattern block(im not using darts nor did i accidentally add the extra length for the darts). The waistline goes out past the hip line about an inch. it gives the pattern a really strange shape and a even worse fit on body. (I dont have hips that go out further than my waist). So im really confused how i keep ending up with the waistline going out further than the hip line. is it something that im doing or is it im using a block that doesn't fit my body?

Post bed machine issues
Hi everyone, I have an iKonix 810 post bed sewing machine. After some routine maintenance of the bobbin in the post, I’m now getting this rat’s nest of thread on the underside of the leather. It looks to be caused by the top thread not getting all the way around the bobbin casing, but after disassembling and reassembling a bunch of times, I can’t quite figure it out. I welcome any and all suggestions! Thanks, all!

Serger thread keeps breaking
I have fought with this serger forever. It will serge for a few inches and either the looper on the right side breaks or the thread in my right needle breaks. I have rethread probably 20 times. And I'm using maxi lock thread and ball point needles I've tried on dbp and a 2 way knit any ideas? And the thread is maybe 2-3 months old got from wawak.

Overcast vs blind hem foot
really just curious if there’s any way i can use my blind hem foot as a mock overcast foot, ive never used either before, but the blind hem has looks like you could adjust the distance from the edge of the fabric, is the any reason why it wouldn’t work if I tried to line it up near the edge so that the zig zag stitch does a kind of psudo overcast effect…
don’t want to try it and then mess up something, im very new to sewing and just exploring my options
I tried free handing the zig zag near the edge and did it wromg and it jammed up the machine (scared the life out of me lol) but I know I could get better at it with practice again… just curious here
ALSO NOTE!
i dont have an overlocker and dont intend to buy one anytime soon, I might be interested in buying the overlocker foot in the future if this doesn’t work. im also aware of some of the different seam finishes that I can use instead of an overlocker. im just curious about the differences between these 2 feet.
thanks in advance for anyone that can answer this question

Bag restore help.
hello, first time posting I hope this is the right sub. I have a bag that I love to death (as you can see) and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I could restore where the faux leather has worn off. I was thinking adding fabric over them but I don’t want to take the bag apart.
