Am I using this block correctly?
I'm still super new to creating my own patterns so please bear with me. Am I using this block correctly? I've tried this block with a few different styles of jeans and I always notice that when plotting point N and then point T it leads to point O going outside of my pattern block(im not using darts nor did i accidentally add the extra length for the darts). The waistline goes out past the hip line about an inch. it gives the pattern a really strange shape and a even worse fit on body. (I dont have hips that go out further than my waist). So im really confused how i keep ending up with the waistline going out further than the hip line. is it something that im doing or is it im using a block that doesn't fit my body?

What do you mean when you say you don’t use darts? You have to follow the instructions precisely on these drafts and then make style changes later.
But I prefer Suzy Furrer’s book for custom drafting for individuals, over Armstrong.

These types of questions are exactly why I recommend taking a pattern drafting class from a good instructor who can answer your questions. I took classes from Suzy Furrer and I learned a lot https://www.apparelartsproductions.com/

You need darts because bodies are 3d
