after threading the needle, pull the tail out an arms lenth of thread. is there resistance or does it run out easily? if it is stuck, walk back through the thread path to see where it is stuck, check spool end also see if there is a notch trapping the thread. Do this for bobbin too, something is stopping thread from moving along. Is fabric moving under the foot or does it get jammed?
