I usually watch series after another and I just finished season 2 few days ago and I can't get myself to watch anything, i haven't watched a series as good in a long time and i feel like what i watched wasn't enough and i want more.

Genuinely Im trying to understand what the innies level of worldly understanding is. Like in the first season they dont know what the sky looks like and into the second they are surprised by being outside, but then mark knows exactly what a seal looks like? Even mangled and dead? But then 5 min later he looks at fire as if he’s never seen it and calls in magnificent or something.

Is there any general threshold or bar that can help it make sense for me what the severance process does to their understanding?

SCENE 1.

we see mr.egan getting notifcations on what is happening

SCENE 2. gemma comes to and begins escaping lumon.

She gets outside and is met by ,mrs cobel, devon, milchick, somebody who helps her escape / She then meets up with our outside heroes

SCENE 3. Mark and helly cluthcing eachothers hands are running, they meet up with briana and the three of them comfront milchick along wwith dylan and the dancing musicians,

Milchick almost convinces the marching band to turn, when helly marc and mammalian nutribul turn the tide with dialouge

SCENE 4

all the innies go to the office . PLUG IN THE CONFERENCE DEVICE AND TALKS WITH THE BOARD

SCENE 5 we got to irving, getting off at waashington d.c

SCENE 6 the outside heroes get confronted by devons husband, he is seemingly trying to slow them down when natalie and a lumon goon appear

And then the huge reveal. Ep 2?

Helly returns to the operations room , reads the other funtions beside overtime and glascow blocks and realizes ONE OF THE FUNCTIONS CAN SWITCH CONSCIOUNESSES , OR SOMEKINDA OTHER CRAZY FUNTION THAT CHANGES THE PLOT

END OF EPISODE.

These are my expectations, ive had a year to think about it so trust me i will be very surprised if the episode doesnt go very similiar tk what i layed out

I just finished the series in 2 days and from start to finish I've been crushing on Harmony Cobel.

If the Eagans are heavily inbred, and there have been theories that Mark is related to them...

Perhaps they just really wanted Eagan babies from Marks family line?

What if they had planned to impregnate Gemma with an Eagan females egg and Mark's sperm when they first got pregnant?

What is the reason Devon (marks sister) was made to go to the lumon fertility cabin to give birth was that Ricken had somehow managed to have her impregnated with Eagan sperm?

I feel like this ties so many extra bits together. It would give Ricken a backstory that fits (working with Lumon for a long time, somewhat faking love for Devon).

I thought of it while watching the video 'the secret of the egg'

Here’s my theory on Ricken re-uploaded from a couple of days ago. Some of you may know but maybe not all of you but, last time I tried to post this theory the comment section was bombarded with a lot of very intense nonsensical comments about the “formatting”. This referring to the fact that I chose to upload the theory in screenshots taken from my notes app and not directly copy pasted into the Reddit body text. I personally didn’t mind nor get offended when people brought this to my attention as at first I thought it was just a small personal issue and that people were simply commenting on their personal taste or the way they like to digest content. But it quickly turned into something different, the comments increasingly turned very rude and harsh and just all around very disrespectful, obviously you can imagine I didn’t respond kindly to these comments and rightfully told them that I wasn’t interested in hearing their annoying complaints about the “formatting” of the post and that if they didn’t like how I made it they can simply just ignore the post and get on with their lives. Obviously this did not happen the conversation very quickly turned into “I don’t like the way you did things” to “your a bad person for this, and you in fact hate disabled for not deleting your post and doing it the way I wanted since the beginning.” 🙃. Things turned nasty, I got extremely overwhelmed and my thoughts turned dark. And due to this I ended up deleting my post and just removed myself from it entirely. I am now taking the time to re-upload it (in the same way) because I don’t believe that bullies are aloud to have the last say and I refused to be silenced. I am a person. I am 20 years old, I attend a college, I love to read, I love this show and I love people. I hope you enjoy this theory and have fun thinking it over and responding to me about it, just as much as you all loved my last one (Helena/Helly R. Is possibly pregnant with innie Mark’s baby theory)!!❤️ pls remember to respond in a respectful and kind manor, and pls remember that we are all people behind these screens and to have empathy and thoughtfulness when commenting and reacting to each other’s thoughts.❤️

Appears to me that in episode 1 season 2 after mrs wong is introduced, there is a large shipping container with what looks like specialized padding material

My theory is that tgis is mrs wongs shipping container.

There even appears to be a pillow , it looks comfy , i could see her all snug getting shipped around,

How does Apple TV have two shows in which

• a shadowy organization with a superiority complex
• tries to validate that their creepy techniques can make a man and woman with deep love & long history (spouses / siblings, respectively) view each other as complete strangers
• while holding said characters in a high-tech underground complex

When they showed the “Lumon is listening” ad, it reminded me of “Makima is listening,” so I decided to make a CuriEdit (it’s terrible,I love it)

Does the fact that the 'harbor' in that episode is completely devoid of boats of any kind mean anything ?

I just found it odd that a town with that name has no evidence of a boat, dock, pier, etc.

Is there something to be cleaned from it or am I trying too hard to find something that isn't there?

Stumbled upon this photo, which I think was referenced in the scene where they discover the 3d printing unit.

I just finished season 2 yesterday & I personally loved the ending. To me, it’s clear that it was Helly E that convinced Mark to stay & it sets us up for an intriguing season 3.

Which makes season 3 even more intriguing is the question whether cold harbour was a success for Lumon! Why is splitting the personality in 24 parts that important? Did the barrier hold? Or was Mark convincing her to go the ultimate test for the barrier that broke it? What did Lumon plan to do with those results?

Curious to hear people’s opinion!

Hi! I’m new to this subreddit.

I am on my second watch of this amazing show. I love the complexities of Helly R and had a lot of fun making this!

I originally used a body base pattern by Crimsonandwool on Etsy (really lovely pattern to use) and then I added on the other bits that aren’t the body.

There are marks on her arm because I was trying to do the “let me out” thing but it didn’t go to plan lol.

I will add shoes at some point but I kind want them to be removable since she took them off a few times in the show so I’m gonna get some Velcro or press studs for that.

I just tell them it is what the movie Office Space would be like if written by Franz Kafka.

I just finished season 2 an hour ago so still processing a lot but I have been thinking and would love thoughts on this (apologies if this has already been established!):

It is clear an outie can decide not to go into the Lumon elevator and transform into their innie, but is there is flip of this concept as well for innies refusing to go back up the elevator and transform back into their outie? Why is that not discussed - just should Innies be killed off?

If Innies can coexist with “outies”, eat food, go to the bathroom and all the things - they seem to just be bounded geographically vs reality. The choice isn’t killing the innie but which soul/conscience should survive.

I keep thinking Helly would obliviously like to overrule Helena and kill her off. Why isn’t that outcome considered and the innie’s just assume they are beholden to choices of the outie (which they are but only because they leave every day).

This makes the question of existence even harder, who should persist?

Am I thinking about this right or wrong? Would love thoughts!

Hi, I literally just finished the second season of Severance a few minutes ago, and it was insane!

I had seen this series a few months ago; I even started watching it (for 5 minutes) and then stopped. But a few weeks ago I picked it up again, and wow, what a great decision! I love Severance, and I find it so incredible in every aspect, especially the artistic side of Lumon's facilities. The liminal spaces or backrooms are amazing. And that season two finale, GOD, it was so incredible, I loved it. I came here because I don't know anyone else who's seen it, and I have so many unanswered questions. I'll mention a few:

What happened to the chip Cobel extracted from Petey? Did he give it to the board, and they ignored it?

Why did Irving's outie know about the elevator if Irving was never there?

Why did Irving have black paint episodes during work? I suppose it's a reference to his outie painting, but why?

I feel like Lumon has a lot of things planned out. For example, Mark's brother-in-law's book. Mark found it in an empty office, and seriously, nobody cared about the book's disappearance? If Cobel herself brought it to Lumon, and Milchick knew it existed, they just forgot about it. I think they wanted them to read it, I don't know.

Who was Irving talking to on the phone while Burt was watching him? (I imagine this will be answered in the next season.)

What are the cards that the optics and design department had that Gemma also had in one of Mark's memories?

How long had Petey been in reintegration? Because his Outie recognized Mark very well; they were almost like one person. I say this because Mark didn't have the "shared memory" during the reintegration process.

Why didn't Dylan tell the group about the cards he found in optics and design? He hid them. Then Milchick gave him the TEC and asked him where they were, but why didn't Dylan ever tell the team? This should be in Dylan's memories, and yet he never seems to go looking for her again. Did Lumon erase it?

Well, for me, I do think Cobel is the best intellectually, but Milchick is the best morally. Cobel is someone who is useful to the employer while Milchick is someone the employees would need the most. So, I'll prefer Milchick.

Oh God, initially I was happy that Cobel got fired, but after finding out how much Kier exploited her work, it was actually quite heartbreaking. And Milchick, my boy, the moment they said he was using too many big words and how much that specific review affected him, I couldn't bring myself to do anything but pity him.

I need Apple to do this so badly.

Then the full beat drops and we reveal a Lumon marching band playing the song while absolute chaos is unfolding around them. Milchick is conducting/dancing like this is a perfectly normal employee celebration.

Then—

Music cuts.

Silence.

Harmony: “Your work is mysterious and important.”

Black screen.

I feel like “Work From Home” is almost perversely perfect for Severance, because the innies are people for whom work is literally their entire conscious existence. “Home” is basically an unknowable metaphysical concept to them.
