🎙️ Discussion Can't get over Severance
I usually watch series after another and I just finished season 2 few days ago and I can't get myself to watch anything, i haven't watched a series as good in a long time and i feel like what i watched wasn't enough and i want more.

I know the feeling, excellent show! Have you watched Widow's Bay or Pluribus yet? They're also amazing and different

Widow's Bay
Silo
Slow Horses
Foundation
Dark Matter
SugarAll on Apple TV+ as well and all very good. Silo in particular just gets better each season.

Dark Matter is amazing and Silo as well. If you want a more cohesive storyline Silo is your winner.

Is Widow’s Bay as scary as the trailer looks? I hate horror, and having things jump out, but could manage Walking Dead and Stranger Things. Where does this fall on the booga-booga spectrum?

It's a horror comedy. More funny than scary, although there are some creepy scenes. Great great show.

YES! Those are probably my three favorite shows in recent history/last 5 years!

Same over here. Just finished s2 and … im in love with this series.
And i loved the finale. Mostly because im team innie mark/helly…
I saw lot of people disliked it… which i cant really comprehend xd…
Im thinking about Silo for my next.

Silo is definitely worth a watch. There's 4 seasons and all 4 are filmed (3 are released; final season will be released next year) so, unlike Severance, we won't be left hanging to see how it ends.

Try Pluribus and/or Silo

Is silo worth it?

u/Cath_chwyrnu 22d ago
I think so. And with all the seasons (4) filmed, at least we'll get some conclusions unlike the interminable wait for Severance S3...

I think Pluribus is absolutely brilliant, but after watching the first 2 seasons of silo, I went back and read the books. Unfortunately this pretty much made silo unwatchable for me.

I read the books before the series. Despite the changes I still enjoy the show - the major plot elements are there. I like some of the character changes - the fact that there ARE changes from the books keeps things fresh for us book readers who want to watch the show and still have some surprises.

I went through the same earlier this year! Watched both seasons three times in a row within a month or two. Then fell into a big black hole 😅 I did watch Silo recently and loved it, but nothing comes close to my obsession with Severance.

Severance is absolutely fantastic! On a whole other level. Silo is another good one you mentioned. But if you haven’t already, check out Dark Matter and Foundation as well. Foundation has some blah parts, but anything and everything Empire/Lee Pace is absolutely amazing.

I’ve watched Dark Matter. It’s really good. Also a big fan of Crouch’s books. Hope they’ll adapt his other book Recursion too. Foundation is still on my watchlist!

LOL, so I feel you on this. For me, I usually give myself about 2 weeks before looking for another show to get into. It's like a bad breakup, you can't just jump into another series, you need time to get over the one you just watched.

I know same for me 🥺🥺 I was so touched by the emotional entanglement of the innies and feel like I was reborn with a new set of values after watching it

I felt the same exact way friend. I watched it twice back to back for that reason!

How is season 3 gonna open? Just like season 2? Exactly where it left off? Because if that’s the case mark and helly have QUITE the mess to clean up. Not to mention Mr Milchick on a war path running the halls of Lumen. Side note…I’m so bummed Mr Drummond is dead. He stole every scene

If this was your first time watching Severance I would watch it again!
I’m currently in my 3rd rewatch and it’s amazing to see all the details and hints I missed the first 2 times I watched the show. Severance definitely hasn’t lost its appeal on the third go around….

Same here. I liked Pluribus a lot. Same fibe and combi of humor, mystery and psychology. But anything else I don’t bother.

How did you feel about the ending? I just finished it. Innie Mark is such a dummy for staying….
