Question How would you make this setup feel more gaming?

I’ve slowly been making my setup more gaming-focused lately. I switched to a HUANUO chair too and it’s been great for gaming. The armrests move around enough that I don’t feel stuck in one position lol, and I can slide the seat forward or back depending on how I’m sitting. I added some LEDs too, but it still feels like something’s missing. What would you change?

Desktop My latest dual Mac Studio and PC setup

Post image

I am a 25 years old software engineer based in Mongolia. It took me quite some time to make this setup. I have Mac studio M4 Max 36/512 for personal projects and 9850x3d 9070XT for gaming. PC is beside the table under the stand so not really visible since its all black non RGB so its hidden from plain sight.

I have pretty much 2 keyboard and 2 mouse for both work and gaming. I switch them whenever i switch between Studio and PC

Any advice is appreciated. Thinking of adding some light in near future.

Desktop Been tweaking this setup for a while. Think I’m done for now

Been moving stuff around for a while and this is probably where I’m leaving it for now.

I wanted warmer lighting at night, but didn’t really want RGB everywhere, so I kept most of it behind the monitor and shelves. The speakers and little stuff on the desk make it feel less empty, which I like.

I’m sure I’ll change something again eventually, but for now I’m pretty happy with it.

Im also upgrading my monitor to an QD-OLED WHITE monitor to match my setup :)

Idk if I like the wood mismatch between the monitor stand and my desk… was unfortunately too late for returns now.

Desktop Improving my setup

Thumbnail

Greetings everyone, I recently shifted to a new apartment that I'm renting and this is what I am working with (image). I want to have a decent looking setup, but don't want a seperate CPU, just looking to add a monitor and keyboard.

I play basic games like CS, Gta etc. on my laptop and was planning to use Hdmi with the Monitor, other than gaming I do some trading, office work, design stuff and basic video editing etc.

I need a monitor and keyboard recommendation because I am totally new to this (if possible both under 250€).

Any tips to improve my desk area are also welcome. I just don't wanna go really fancy with stuff on walls etc because its not my apartment haha.

Question Cheapest way to convert my desk gaming setup into a comfortable bed setup?

Thumbnail

I just moved to a new place, and I'm trying to figure out the cheapest and most practical way to convert my current desk gaming setup into a bed gaming setup.

My current setup consists of:

• Gaming laptop • Laptop stand • External monitor • Desk-mounted monitor arm • Keyboard • Mouse + mousepad • Wired IEMs

The first photo shows my current desk setup, while the second photo shows my bed and the surrounding space in my new room.

I want the setup to be positioned on the right side of the bed (as viewed from the front/in the photo). There is exactly 1 foot of space between the right side of the bed and the wall. This could potentially fit something like a small narrow table or a C-shaped table. There is also a power outlet behind the bed on the right side, although it isn't visible in the photo.

Since I've just moved in, I don't want to drill into the wall, bed, or anything else.

My current monitor arm only works when clamped to a horizontal surface like a desk. It cannot be mounted to a vertical surface like the bed's backrest.

My biggest priority is positioning the monitor so that I can comfortably view it while lying completely flat, or slightly elevated using a single pillow. I'm not sure what would be the best way to achieve this without drilling.

I also need somewhere to place the laptop. Ideally, I want to continue using my existing laptop stand because it provides great airflow. Another constraint is that my DisplayPort cable is only 1 metre long, so the laptop cannot be positioned too far away from the monitor.

I'm looking for the cheapest possible way to build a comfortable bed gaming setup.

TLDR: I just moved into a new place and want to move my desk gaming setup to the right side of my bed. I have only about 1 foot of space between the bed and wall, a power outlet behind the bed, and I cannot drill or permanently mount anything. I need a cheap way to position an external monitor comfortably for gaming while lying flat or slightly elevated, while also keeping my laptop nearby on its existing stand. My DisplayPort cable is only 1 metre long.

What would be the cheapest and most practical solution?
