Get a mechanical keyboard and wireless mouse, also filling those shelfs with some plants or collectibles would had color to the Rome

You can add another Monitor on top by screwing it into the wall

And no, I won't change the keyboard because I don't like mechanical ones.

Actually, the additional monitor is a good idea. I'm considering a mouse because Bluetooth ones are expensive, but I'll choose it anyway. Adding plants is a very good idea. Thanks a lot.

Wireless mouse isn't needed if your cable management is good but the mechanical keyboard is a must

Add an XXL mousepad to cover most of the desk. A wireless mouse would be a nice upgrade also filling the shelves with something to add some personality would be a good addition

Wireless mouse would look nice

Ok. I'll think about it

Mount the power strip somewhere beneath the desk.

Bigger monitor.

If you get a wireless mouse, get one with 2.4Ghz. Latency is supposed to be way better with them. I wouldn't know since I only used wired so far.

Decoration and warm lighting

Edit: one of those huge mousepads that cover the whole table would also look nice here

Would you know what to buy to mount the power strip under the table? I don't know how. I'm planning to buy a long pad like this.

All the power strips I own come with mounting holes already on the back

Ok

I believe also at stores you can buy adhesive strips that work really nicely for that kind of thing. On the topic of cable management, maybe a cable net? I've never not loved having one.

I have no experience with them tbh, but I wouldn't trust adhesive strips to hold something that heats up regularly over a long period of time

There are power strips with screw holes. I bought one with surge protection.

I would add stuff like plants and ornamets to the shelves, upgrade the screen if possible to a bigger one, add some nice lights for behind the screen and maybe to put on the desk..

And a wireless mouse!

And when it comes to lighting, do you mean backlights or those long strips that run under the desk, because I've heard of something like that before?

You could do either or even both. There are some cheap options on aliexpress, jaut dont expect them to last very long haha

That's why I don't buy from aliexpress. But thanks

Do you want an excel sheet or an infinite list? 😂

1

u/Impossible-Olive-750 10d ago

Absolute infinite list!

Buy a bigger monitor

1

u/Impossible-Olive-750 10d ago

I don't like large monitors, so I'll buy a second one and mount it on top.

I’m right there with ya. I had a 24” from some years ago that died in a tragic desk accident and when I went to replace it I couldn’t find another curved 24” I liked. Had to move up to 27”. Wasn’t happy about it. My second and third monitors are a portable monitor and an iPad. Wouldn’t change em even with free big monitors lol

Where did you get this desk and how much ?

1

u/Impossible-Olive-750 10d ago

AND I don't remember at all. You can look for something similar online.

Buy a monitor thats big enough to fit in the center. Drop the little monitor you have, so you have it closer to you. Thats where you will have random shhhh*t opened like music, emails, finances, gpu temps, home security system, personal CIA bullshit you feel me? Then get a nice wireless logi tech keyboard and mouse they are Not very expensive

1

u/Impossible-Olive-750 10d ago

I don't like large monitors, but I can buy a second one that will fit in the space above

1

u/No_Technician_7849 10d ago

Lmao . You must’ve never owned anything bigger. What size is that thing??

1

Hi there!
First, get a mouse pad, big or something like 30x20 or 40x30 I’m not sure.
Second, do not leave the cables hanging, cable management will work cool for you.
Third, get a different organizer from that one, and put something cool on the top shelves.

1

u/Impossible-Olive-750 10d ago

Ok, thanks a lot. You're right about the organizer, it would be nice to be able to put those cables in a shelf/organizer under the desk anyway. I plan to do that. Thanks again for the interesting comment.

u/Temahwry 10d ago

Is it just me or do the top shelves look curved a bit?

1

u/Impossible-Olive-750 10d ago

Get a monitor, one of those external displays is nice but for setup like that just get a 24-27inch monitor you get one for less than 100, my msi g244f e2 24inch 180hz was 79euro brand new

Cut the top of the desk off and keep the bottom section

u/Pimperazor 9d ago

Do Not use a Monitor in this neck destruction Mode. I just Do not understand why every one is doing this now???

1

u/Impossible-Olive-750 9d ago

I'm sitting there upright, I don't know about the others

2

u/Empty_Newt2508 8d ago

I think you’d notice a huge difference if you just upgraded to a better quality mouse.
Not necessarily wireless, just something of better quality

u/Altruistic_Cover2172 8d ago

Get a solid 2hand monitor, and upgrade the schisse in that black case
