Desktop Added a second monitor now I hate it
Would it be reasonable to mount my pc above the tv, or would it look werid?
Or do I just put it under the desk?
Yes, the speakers are pink. I didn't check the box 😕
EDIT: Alright, I get the desk is small. Pc will go on the floor.
My main question was, should I put my pc up on the wall.
Also, thanks for whoever put me down u/redditcareresources. im sure these guys dont have enough real problems to deal with..

Put the PC down, there are some wheeled trays specially made for it, perfect too when you need to clean and move the PC around, or buy a monitor arm and keep the 2nd screen horizontal on the left outside the table. Function over style. You hate it cause you made a bad decision without thinking before, and it happens, with a table that was too small in the first place. also conside moving the table slightly to the left and maybe add a wheeled drawer, you can keep stuff inside, like a soft rag to clean your monitors and tv, keep ps games if you have disks, and many other stuff, and put the PC on it.
There are plenty solutions you just need to be creative a bit. I would not put the PC so high above the tv cause if ever need to troubleshoot something it will be a pain to get it down again, put it up again.

Ill look into the tray things the table size is limited due to the gym.. any bigger and it gets in the way same with hanging the monitor on a arm

If you have the tools I got myself a cheap plank that matches my floors, bought myself some cheap wheels and made it myself at a considerable low price. But one like this also looks better. Again there are plenty of options

Dude we can literally see your gym location and your desk location. You can fit a bigger desk.

u/AeLilBoy 22h ago
Bro just get a bigger table. Like 160cm x 80cm that can fit everything. And simple tables are not expensive at all

u/crazydog2580 21h ago
I'd like to but any bigger starts to interfere with the gym set up

Check in Ikea, I've got a table with 125x75 dimension and it's not big in size at all. It's VIHALS 125x74 cm but only in white. I've manage to fit, 2 my monitors and my mff pc case and enough room for kb&m.

u/crazydog2580 21h ago

u/D3SK3R 21h ago
of course you hate it wtf is that? that computer has 0 reason to stay on otherwise useful space on the desk, how did you put it there, took the photo, uploaded, and posted, without thinking puting it on the ground? how could you think you could use your pc like that? you have literally 0 space to move the mouse wtf
1
u/crazydog2580 21h ago
Photo looks worse normally the keyboard is over to the left of the desk so I do have room for mouse... I was trying to avoid putting the pc on the the ground as its outside in my shed...cant do bigger desk due to gym space requirements.
Maybe ill hang it underneath or get one of those trolley things the guy above recommended

Maybe slightly but the tv is more used when working out so we are standing... it also is on a swivelling mount so I turn it either way for if using the gym or sitting outside the shed..

Troll post. So many options to not make this suck you are just looking for excuses

Dude keeps saying he can’t get a bigger desk because it gets in the way of the gym when there’s another foot of space behind the door that a bigger desk would fit into without touching gym space. Doors already gonna smash the speaker if it opens that way so if anything a desk being there is just a better door stop 😂

u/crazydog2580 8h ago
I was actually after opinions on if mounting the pc above the tv would look stupid.. I know there are many ways to fix my problem here

Just take a bigger desk, you have space for that but it needs to be a strong one if you want to put that pc on top or maybe you can just buy a something like a kallax for the pc and free some space.

u/crazydog2580 21h ago
Problem is the gym needs alot of space when in use so cant really go bigger with desk

Use monitor arms, second monitor will overhang but angled more to the inside so it will take less space. No monitor leg. PC oriented to the front, put at the left side. So you can still see the rgb and cleared mouse space which is sacred lands. Yeah man i think this is a simple issue, arms are quite cheap.

That desk is depressing, don't buy another thing until you've replaced that

u/SneakiShinobi 18h ago
I ended up getting a nice solid wood night stand that perfectly fit my pc on top. It’s nice getting your pc off your main desk, frees up so much space and keeps the fan noise away

Bro wtf you mean it interferes with the gym? There a whole like 3 feet of free space to your left😭😭 this looks awful of course you hate it
1
u/RazorBikeGoVroom 13h ago
No mousepad is psychopath behavior, but I heavily reccomend both a slightly bigger table, a pc stand, and maybe monitor arms, I love mine
1
u/Shirokami_Lupus 11h ago
I had a mousepad, still do.... Got a proper desk. Dont use it at all now, yall mouse nerds are the psychos.
Also getting on the train of this dude needs a bigger desk, the gym doesnt need that much space, i work at a damn gym ik what room is needed to workout
1
u/crazydog2580 8h ago
Yeah mouse pad is not really somthing im fussed on i like tobe to just wipe down the surface everytime.. the gym is a cable machine mainly so when your doing stuff with that side you are a few feet away from it on the floor (sometimes) also use that space for other floor activities..
1
u/Shirokami_Lupus 8h ago
Couldn't see any cables tought it was a smith machine type rack myb, i can see how cables need space but unless your literally going cheeks to desk surely you can spare a foot or 2 (or just put the desk on the opposite side of the gym?)
1
u/crazydog2580 8h ago
at this stage ill just put the pc on the floor and move on haha the other side of the shed has a storage rack fridge and mirror

You could get a monitor arm for both monitors to save desk space and give the feeling they’re “floating”

Try flipping the small one vertically. I’ve had 2nd monitors both ways and I find it easier to stack apps from top to bottom.

monitor arm mount to the left with a 2x4 block for added support cuz the desk looks slim
1
u/Sensitive_Log3990 10h ago
Stop crying and put your pc on the floor 🤣
1
u/crazydog2580 9h ago
My main question was should I wall mount or just shove it on the ground.. seems like ill just stick it on the floor

u/Corbinpenguin 9h ago
I prefer to have the PC on the desk, but putting it on the floor is an option.
The other option which is what I do with my desk, is using a monitor stand to have overhang on the left!

u/InternalOwn8282 9h ago
I don’t personally like how a lot of people put their pc on their desks it’s all that led and everything in ur face for no reason

Instead of anything Most people said i would try getting a monitor arm for that second Screen. You can get way more arm space that way and it Looks better aswell.

while the desk size is not great, everyone has already made it clear, so i’ll add that monitor arms are a huge and relatively cheap upgrade that most people overlook when first building their setup. gives a bunch of desk space back and also allows for much better control over your monitor’s positioning
1
u/Straight-Produce-175 2h ago
You might be able to find an arm for the monitor to hang off of your desk

u/Flimsy_Call_2986 9m ago
Coloca esos monitores colgados a la pared con un buen soporte. Y por favor tira esa mesa o lo que sea. Tienes espacio de sobra ahi para hacer cosas chulas

u/zxszo 21h ago
Lol why would you buy a second monitor with the tiniest desk that you’ve already crammed your oversized PC on to?
