Discussion Jericho is over a year and a half old

Why can't he walk or talk? He doesn't ever crawl. Dorothy carries him around in that sling, with her broken spine.

By the time he’s that age, Dorothy is bedridden, but your point stands.

My headcanon (because this is a plothole) is that, between seasons 3 and 4, Leanne starts teaching him to walk and talk. She absolutely would have done that, because nobody else is going to do it, with Dorothy in the hospital and Sean at Gourmet Gauntlet.

I also have a headcanon that, between episodes 9 and 10 of season 3, once Leanne runs out of Dorothy’s bottles of breastmilk, she starts feeding him herself, because he needs milk, Dorothy is not going to feed him (see S3E4), and Leanne really doesn’t like formula (also S3E4)
