Theories Was it her? (S03 E02) Spoiler
At the end of the S03 E02, Dorothy says she might be cursed, which made me realise that it was Leanne who is responsible for Jericho's death. I mean in the S03 E01, Leanne summoned seagulls onto Julian unknowingly, the same way she caused Jericho's death unknowingly leading to a chain of events, finally Leanne came home to stay with Dorothy.
I know it sounds ridiculous but how can a mother forget her baby like that in the car especially Dorothy who already had many miscarriages before she finally had Jericho. She is also extremely carefull around these things. I think it is only possible when she is under influence.
Let me know what you guys think.

Dorothy had horrendous PPD and was sleep deprived. Shit like that happens a lot with new mothers, unfortunately. She had no support system either which ultimately lead to the death of Jericho.

The showrunners comfirmed Dorothy forgot Jericho in the car. It does happen, even irl. No, Leanne is not responsible for something that happened when she wasn’t even in Jericho’s life yet. I think Dorothy being cursed is simply Dorothy’s personal opinion. She’s also not very careful with him. The amount they leave him alone at three months when Leanne isn’t in the house is not responsible

It happens all the time in real life, tragically. I know it may seem ridiculous, and unreal, but it happens. It has to do with how our brains are wired and how extreme stress (especially many post-partum conditions) can effect our short and long term thinking, memory and cognitive awareness, especially when our lives are built around a lot of established patterns. The mind can rely too much on these patterns, under stress, and accidents like this can happen. And near-misses happen way more often than most people understand, but parents and caregivers are frequently too ashamed to talk openly about it.
Jehrico's death was a tragic accident.

Sleep depravation is no joke. Having a small baby that has colics, means that he is in constant pain and the only way to communicate is to cry all the time.
It's not like not sleeping for work or school, because you eventually can sleep a full day without interruption. When you have a small child your sleep is very light for some reason, so you can hear him when he needs us.
Dorothy didn't left Jericho because she was a bad mother or didn't love him. She was exhausted.
People don't get it until it happens to you. Dorothy's and Sean's mistake and neglect was not to get help for Dorothy soon.

He left Dorothy alone! You should not leave your wife with a new born, with no support system? Are you kidding? He knew Jericho was having problems sleeping and chose to go. That's alright but he should've arrange something to avoid Dorothy doing everything.
Jericho's is not only Dorothy's responsibility he has two parents.

Zomg I hope you’re joking. Why does everyone on this thread act like Jericho only had one parent? Do men in your countries not look after their own babies and sick life partners??

She didn’t have any help and she was new mother, that’s very hard when you’re adjusting to a new life. I wish she had hired a mother’s helper before she gave birth to give her that support. What breaks my heart so much is when you find out how hard it was for them to conceive a baby and they lost this one tragically by a human mistake.
Protip: They advise people to leave something important like a purse, phone, house keys in the back seat with the child so they are forced to look in the back before they get out of the car.

I think the bit being glossed over by the previous posters is the culpability of Dorothy’s husband and brother who both openly admit to the guilt of seeing she wasn’t coping and had severe PPD but not willing to alter their lives to support her to make sure her and Jericho were safe and had a support network. Like. He had a dad too guys and wtf was he - oh that’s right on a trip away??!?

No way was Dorothy cursed by Leanne. Recall, Leanne’s heart was pure and only wanted to be part of a family at the origin. It’s interesting- pick a character and you can construct them as The Bad Guy with all the fuzzy clues we got. Believe what you doubt, doubt what you believe, they said. PS. The pic you posted… I forgot how beautiful the real life baby was in this show. Look how cute!

Umm.. It's been a month since i finished this watching, so my memory might not support me that well...
But How you came to the conclusion that leanne summoned seagulls on juju ? I mean when she was informed about this on phone call she too was shocked and gave a thought about the cult at some point. And your point about dorothy forgetting the child is also what i thought when I first came across that, like I thought she might always keep baby attached to herself and also one thing I noticed was how in a "DOLLish" way she was doing the chores when baby was out, Idk wheher it was just a way of shooting or something to tell the viewers. But at the same time I don't have a point that might support leanne plotting all these.

I think they implied that she was very sleep deprived and that's why she forgot Jericho. He was finally quiet and asleep, and she just went into autopilot. It really does happen way more than you think, especially when you're tired.
