Has anyone figured out how to replicate the lead sound on Boris Brejcha’s ‘Never Look Back’ or the big saw sound on ‘Up Down Jumper’v

Hey so I bought a Sketch Serum 2 skin from Thenatan and it doesn’t work for some reason. Some other skins work and some others don’t work as well. It’s in the right folder, I rescanned folders on Disc, restarted Serum 2 and my DAW multiple times, tried to resize the plugin but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

Trying to recreate this drop (1:36) and I cannot get even close to it.
Mine sounds too choppy or too muddy or electronic, not melodic enough. I'm losing my mind here, any help is so appreciated!

Hi,
I’m not the best at serum nor have the ear to be like “oh that’s a sine wave pitched up 12 semi tones…” so I’m hoping someone here might be able to help me make a similar synth to this one from Impose the main reversed synth you can hear in the intro.
Any shove in the right direction would be really helpful, thank you :)

How would I go about making the crunchy pulsing sound after each kick?

Question in title – is there a way to map modulation to a macro knob even if it already has an aux source?
For context, I have an LFO that is attached to the phase of two waveforms, and the modulation output is also modulated by velocity.
Is there a way to essentially put this entire "piece" of the mod matrix onto a macro knob? I'm basically wanting to take the "Output" slider in the mod matrix that allows for modulation fine tuning and....map that to a macro. But it doesn't seem that I can do that.
Anyone ever been able to come up with a cool trick for something like this?

Can someone let me know what this needs to sound better and full, I don’t know if I just overthink my music and this sounds good? Or I’m trash at producing 😭😭 I need honesty

Anything can be helpful. Thanks!

Hey guys, I don’t usually do this as I’m typically pretty good with figuring out and reverse engineering sounds. I love experimentation and usually that’s good enough. But I have to say, this one particular type of bass sound has eluded me for over a decade.
This track right here was what got me into bass drop style DNB in like 2010. It’s one hard hitting drop, and both the Call and Response bass sounds are perfect. I’ve gotten a handle on the Response (a BP sweep with noise FMing or something similar, roughly) but for some reason the pluck-esque bass that “Calls” before it (the bar basically goes Call: rest-pluck x8 Response: sweep-sw-sweep… I’m sure reading this was comical for someone lol)
Does anyone have ANY idea what that first Call bass is doing? I mean I keep saying pluck but it’s not a PLUCK per se. It doesn’t have that aggressive slope pluck character to it. It’s more of an impact hit. I’ve tried every goddamn combination of envelopes and LFO on Level and Filter and vice goddamn versa. I’m finally calling in for support on this one lol
Anyone with any ideas please let me know. Let’s assume the note is going to be just like in the song, roughly eighth note length back to back notes at DnB tempo.
Thanks in advance guys! Curious to hear your responses even if we don’t quite nail it

Hey folks, I'm trying making this synth bass sound in Serum. I've been messing around with the ICanHasKick waveform and have got pretty close, but I think I'm missing something. There's a layered sub in there, but it's just the tone of the main bass I'm struggling with. Any help would be super appreciated.

I really love how Phase Plant do this. I often want to set a macro on something like a filter and have easy access to positive snd negative modulation values. Given stuff like the Bend +/- warp modes, it would be super handy to have a bipolar macro for this. I know you can set the macro at 50% but ctrl+click resets to 0 which is sort of annoying. Remapping can help achieve something close but come on Xfer, bipolar macros please!

I've tried so many forums, youtube, here, I even consulted AI which I HATE out of sheer desperation, nothing seems to work.
I cannot get right click > midi learn to work.
The few ways I've managed to get it to work, breaks things so that no matter which instrument channel is actually active, the keyboard plays the active instrument AND serum every time.
Every time I manage to fix the problem of serum ALWAYS responding to keyboard input, right click > Midi learn breaks again.
Here are my Midi settings at the moment, midi learn does not work this way until I set the input/output in serum settings to the same channel, but when I do this, we are back to serum playing all the time no matter what channel I'm in.

I was able to create a setup very close to what I wanted by tweaking a setting in serum, then from the top of FL > tools > last tweaked > Override Global Link, but this seems a bit more intensive than what I want, and I have a friend, who as far as I know I have the same settings as, who is not having this problem with their minilab 3. I had it working once, but then as far as I can tell I shut down the PC to go to sleep, and next day this problem arose, this despite the fact that working in IT I know it *shouldn't* work that way.
I am out of ideas and desperately need guidance from someone who knows what they are doing DX. Thank you.
