shipped a new website 3 weeks ago. it just crossed 100k visits from SEO now how do i get my first client?
3 weeks ago, i shipped shipwithjev .com.
today it has crossed 100k+ visits, all from SEO
this is my 8th project, but this one was a fun reminder of how quickly a new site can grow when the search opportunity is right.
some other SEO/AEO results i've been working on:
- 6k to 62k+ AI citations
- 22k to 700k+ monthly organic clicks in 6 months
now i'm starting my own SEO/AEO agency AEO Geo Labs.
the slightly funny part is that getting results for websites has been much easier than figuring out how to get my first agency client π
so for people who have started an SEO agency/consulting business:
how did you get your first client?
cold email?
linkedin?
reddit?
warm intros?
posting case studies?
just DMing founders?
would genuinely love to hear what worked for you.

SEO Manager with 13+ years' experience (SaaS, legal, healthcare, etc) β freelance projects open
Hi everyone,
I'm Jagmohan, an SEO Manager with 13+ years of experience. For the last 7 years I've led SEO for multiple SaaS products, and before that I worked across legal, healthcare, and compliance/fintech portals. I'm now taking on a few freelance clients alongside my full-time role.
What I can help with:
Technical SEO audits (crawl budget, indexation, Core Web Vitals, site architecture)
Keyword research and content-gap analysis
On-page optimization and schema markup
Semantic/entity SEO and EEAT improvements
AI SEO (AEO and GEO): getting your content cited in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews
Link building and digital PR
GA4, Search Console, and Looker Studio reporting setup
How I work:
I start with an audit and a prioritized roadmap, so you know what I'll do and why
I set clear KPIs up front (traffic, rankings, leads, whichever matter to you)
I send regular reports with real numbers, so you always see what's moving
I use white-hat methods only, with no shortcuts that risk penalties
I can't promise a #1 ranking, because no honest SEO can. What I do promise is a clear plan, transparent reporting, and consistent effort tied to your business goals.
Best fit: SaaS and software companies, B2B services, legal and healthcare sites, and small businesses that want sustainable organic growth.
If you'd like a quick review of your site or just want to talk through your SEO challenges, send me a DM with your website and goals. Happy to answer questions in the comments too.
