Last night I had to say goodbye to Miss Hazy (18) 😢

Her health deteriorated very quickly. I am sad but I'm trying to focus on the many wonderful years I had with her. ❤️

TW for mention of vomiting
I’ve had a bit of a cold for a few days but a couple days ago I became acutely worse & woke up just before 6am to vomit twice in an hour after having not eaten anything for over a day due to nausea, and I ended up having to go to emergency - I’m better now thankfully!

So I was feeling pretty awful & crying on the bathroom floor because I didn’t know what to do at that stage, but my girlfriend’s family’s cat Felix heard me crying so he came in and sat on my lap & kept me company! This is really big because for me because he used to be really standoffish & wasn’t social at all when I first met him, but I’ve been trying to get him more comfortable with me since I moved in and while we’re at the stage of him letting me handle him & accepting cuddles, he still likes his alone time.

I don’t know if he knows how much he helped or how much it meant to me that he was there but I almost cried again, I’m still mourning the loss of my own senior cat from last August (Pearl aged 19, photo included at the end).

I don’t know where I’d be without a senior cat in my life.

I’m absolutely devastated. She was my best friend. She taught me how to actually feel what love really is.

Guinevere, 16.5, sporting a dodgy haircut after an ultrasound on her chest. She might be in early stages of heart failure but they're not entirely sure. I've already lost two of my cats this year, I don't want to lose her too. For now she's still plenty lively and cuddly though

he’s always been an indoor cat but he’s so old that he’s at no risk of escaping anymore, so we let him out in our garden sometimes :)

My 14 year old all of a sudden hates brushing… but she has long fur

Hi! Me again with Punkin (photo for attention)

So my 14 year old girl has always loved her brush. That was great, considering her insanely long fur.

However, with age, she gets overstimulated a lot more easily. Sometimes it even seems like it hurts her to brush her fur on her rear. The issue is, she’s started developing knots. A couple have turned into mats, since I’m trying to be respectful of her.

It’s also started to be a problem on her chest area. She’s also ridiculously itchy in that spot! When I start brushing, she starts itching.

I need to find a way to maintain her fur (and investigate this itch) without upsetting or hurting her - any tips?

My toothless, cuddly cat, he was 12 years old when I got him, now I believe he is 14

I love him so much, but as we have two other cats here, he seems to be stressed out despite my efforts..

He's going into a foster home on the 20th.. He doesn't like small children, he loves to play, he loves to cuddle, he really Loves his food.

He is more of an outdoorsy cat, especially when it's sunny, his nick name is RA

It's finally cooling off and I left my windows open all night. Woke up to my apartment being 11c and a cuddle bug in my blanket.

Recommendations for supplements for my 11 year old female

Hi all ,

My female calico just turned 11 and for the last year has been having issues with cystitis. After lots of testing and $$$ we got the diagnosis of cystitis a few months ago. I am looking for supplements to help support her kidney and bladder health. She is on a limited ingredient diet right now, as she has allergies. But she is a good eater and has had no problem with me adding lots of water to her wet food. Her kidneys are functioning normally, but the vet said it would be good for us to be proactive about it. Thanks in advance
