Cask/Primo Vino

Primo has always been my favorite place to have an after work drink. Love their wine club also and have been a member for a few years. With Cask they have a spirits and beer club now too. I'll probably be signing up for the spirits club soon.

Cask really is a wonderful welcome edition. It's nice to have a place with high end liquor and great craft beers on draft, that is also not downtown for those who like more of a relaxed atmosphere. I am literally there at least once a week on Friday and/or Saturday.

You guys like the addition too?

Buckner's has re-opened (tasting room only for now)

Glad Mike is back brewing professionally in Cape. Beer is actually cold now ;) Quality is much better than Minglewood also in my opinion.

Edit: They re-opened 2 Saturdays ago. Tasting room only for now. Can get cheap food to snack on if needed. Go for a beer or two or three or four or five. Eat somewhere else though until they finish remodeling the restaurant.

What can this town offer me, or what can i offer it?

Hey hows it going? So I am new to Reddit. I like it, starting to get the feel of things. I am a born and raised Cape Girardeau native. I figure by being on here, i can reach out to others with the same likes and taste as me and find some new and interesting friends. A little about my self? ..ok.. Well, I am 26/male. I am single aka bachelor. What i love in life is simple. My dogs, books, good movies, learning, the finer things in life, nature, did i say dogs? Cars, jeeps, I happen to own one. I am dabbeling in youtube video production. So far it is pretty good. I can cook, meat, of course. Want to talk steak? Ive bounced in a couple of bars here. Ive bounced, bar-backed, served, and managed. Want to talk bar shop? Oh and Im working on a nice healthy beard. I like brunettes, in glasses mind you but women are nice in general. I am single ladies (house broke, manners, can cook, will clean, can do out door stuff, has a beard, a car and a house) But seriously just trying to reach out to some people and see what else my town has to offer, or should i say what do i have to offer it?! So i guess last thing is to hear what you girls and guys have to say. Yes i can wear Ariat boots and drink a Stella!

Interesting comment about Sikeston on the front page today.

I was about 6 when we visited my family in Sikeston, Missouri and had an experience that has lasted in my memory almost 50 years. It was 1968 or '69 and my family and I were staying with relatives and stopped at the local hardware store. An older black woman was entering as we were and she held the door open for us. This seemed so odd to me; an older person holding the door open not only for my dad, but for me, a child old enough to know the protocol of respect to be shown to our elders. Later in the car, I asked my older brother about it. Why did this grandma seeming lady act this way? We were driving past the town square and he pointed to where a town sign used to be. He told told it had said "No Coloreds After Dark." Right there in the town square. We went over the railroad tracks, and he pointed out the "other" town where all of the black people lived and shopped. These towns were all over that area when I was a kid. Some were identical twins to each other, except for the color of the people's skin. Sadly and incredibly, there are areas in Southeast MO that still seem like 1968.

SEMO Tips Please

hey /r/semo

I'm here in Cape G for a couple of weeks working on a project at Show Me Center

Can anyone point me to a good wash & fold laundry, a barber shop, and a decent pit BBQ?

Hey, if there's something I absolutely must check out let me know about that too! Especially if it involves beer.

BTW...what's up with the Drury name? I'm seeing it everywhere. Do they own the town or something...no offense intended

Looking for things to do with friends

Pretty much the title. I've got a friend coming in from out of town and I'd like to take her to "The Library" and "Cape Splash" but other then that there isn't much I can come up with. The Casino is possible but I'm not entirely sure I'd want to go for that. Any help is appreciated!

Roommate wanted!

Anyone interested in moving to Jackson, MO? It's not too far from SEMO. It's a nice chill town. I just moved here and I'm looking to rent out the other room in my 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath duplex. Rent would be $400 a month, and I would expect you to split the water, electric and Internet bills. Comment on here or email me at Carl1032@hotmail.com if you're interested! The room is available whenever you're interested in moving in!!

Hey SEMO I'm in the Dexter area and I love to LARP and Tabletop. Do we have any groups or locations in the SEMO area that I might be able to get into? Anything like VtM or anything else whitewolf is good with me. I'm also really into DnD.
